Mad Dog is the only real blemish on MLBN. Well, him and Eric Byrnes.

But Mad Dog is the king of crap.

One of the most perfect clips on the internet. Rosenthal is totally engrossed in what he's saying, taking in the analysis... Then Byrnes barrels into a Gatorade cooler. Never fails to crack me up. He kept going without missing a beat. A true professional.

He's a funny guy and I can stomach him at times. I also like that he gets burned a lot by the other analysts. But I respect Byrnes for always taking it in stride.

Maybe I was too harsh. I don't think he's good. But he's a nice compliment to the good guys.

I don't agree with everything Byrnes says, but I really appreciate his enthusiasm. I definitely enjoy him on the show, despite some of the "jock" stuff he says sometimes.

I sat there for a moment and thought: "Greg Maddux is on MLBN? And he sucks??"

Then I realized that Chris Russo also shares such a nickname.

Byrnes isn't too bad. He does have a lot of enthusiasm and he brings the energy up in the studio. Just don't pair him with Harold Reynolds otherwise it's too much of the same kind of inanity. I think Byrnes does well when his co-analyst is someone who projects a more serious attitude.

Just curious...presuming you live in NY, do you listen to Mike Francesa now? Did you catch the show when it was Russo and Francesa?

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I don't. Never liked either guy.

I listened to their show but could never stomach it.

But to be fair, I don't really like call in radio shows.
