Pretty sad you can give up 5 runs in 20 innings and be down 2 game to 0. Should be 2 straight victories with pitching like that, but this team cannot get over the hump this year and it's maddening.

Game really should not have gone to extras, but Joey Terdoslavich made one of the worst decisions I've seen all season by any player on any team. Combine that with the fact that the offense has not been itself the last 2 games and you've got a pretty frustrating product on the field. The Braves are not being patient effectively this series, they're being patient just to be patient. When they're winning and scoring, they're being patient, but still in attack mode. Pretty much this whole series I've watched a team full of guys watching strike one, then strike two, then in defense mode. It doesn't matter if it is a 50 mph fastball down the middle two straight times, they're taking until two strikes for some odd reason these last two games.

They need to get back to being patient, yet in attack mode still, then we'd see when they give up 3 and 2 runs in a game, they win both.

Yep...pretty much. I know he won us a game earlier this year with his homer against the Padres, but that blunder was just killer.

Really bad throw from Denorfia in RF. I thought he was going to have Van Slyke easily at the plate with as hard as Joc hit that ball.

I'd still prefer this offense though.

It's not like Walgreens is blowing us out; we've been in each game.

I still have reason to keep hope, especially the future. Get Banuelous to the majors, shore up our bullpen, maybe get a decent guy to provide Freddie support thru a trade...

I really think we have a good team.

I agree...just saying that we aren't going to score runs if we struggle to string together hits. I also think in the next few years as the team gets better you can find guys who don't strike out and can hit for power, but for now we are what we are.

Solid win for the Tribe today.

Just always seems like JD Martinez kills us. He had another Homer today

Report: Hanley Ramirez attitude has irked many Red Sox vets.

Not surprised. Was no different in Miami or Los Angeles.

Well, supposedly everything was going to be fine because his buddy buddy David Ortiz was on the team. Old habits die hard.

                      Gee, ya think?

The guy never gave LF a serious shot and has loafed around. If he can't get his act together with his BFF Ortiz then I doubt any team would take him and his crazy contract. The Sawx in their quest to make "the best offense EVAR!" totally screwed up the chemistry rather than fine tuning the offense and getting some pitching.

This is not what the Cubs needed out of Lester. He looks like crap out there. 4 walks and 4 runs already.

Bryant pulled from the game, Coghlan moves to 2B.

Of course Lester would do that and you know why? Because he hates my fantasy team.

With a sweep of Texas the A's are no longer in 5th place.

5 wins straight, 9 out of 11, have won 6 out of their last 9 series going 17- 9 in that stretch.

                              They aren't done yet.
