                If I was a GM, now would be the time I'd go get Sale if any. His price won't be any cheaper.

                        Prices tend to be higher at the deadline. And if Sale's decline in K% continues through the end of the season, teams might see that as a red flag and adjust their prices downwards.

                            Sale's K% decline is more about him making an effort to pitch to contact this year, rather than a regression of stuff.

                                Also in 2/3 years when his contract is up and the White Sox are still not good (no one in their farm system besides Anderson and Fulmer) they will sell him and probably get less than they would now. This is a different year because there aren't many above average SP's available.

                                    Ordinarily, yes...but I think his antics last weekend mitigating any upside CHW could've had.

                                        Lol I doubt that would have any affect on trade negotiations. CHW aren't going to magically ask for less because Sale chanelled Edward Scissorhands.

                                                The funny part is: The Mariners won the trade. The four years they had of Mike Cameron was more valuable than the remainder of Griffey's career if you compare fWAR. As far as Trout is concerned, we'll have to wait for the rest of his career to play out before making any determination, but Trout is on a trajectory to surpass Griffey.

                                                        This deal definitely hasn't/will not get as much press as other moves, but I really like it. Perfect fit. Super utility guy....playing really well right now. Fits exactly what you think of with the Giants--fielding, speed, contact over power. I still think they need a power bat, but I like this move
