They won but that Mets game was painful to watch. Strowman looked great and the offense looked pretty good thanks to the Phillies not being able to throw strikes but our bullpen is a complete disaster right now. It’s safe to say they’ll be in the market for a reliever at the deadline

another illegitimate extra inning affair between Boston & Tampa.
not saying I didn't enjoy it though.
but then, I also like GOGA, double bacon cheeseburgers, drinking milk out of the carton, Ben & Jerry's Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream as a dinner meal couple times a week, and Melrose Place.

doesn't make it right, and just because you can do a thing, doesn't mean you should.
real & true traditional extra innings are the the leafy greens & prune juice of baseball.
might sometimes be hard to swallow but the next morning after you'll be glad you did.
I wish they'd at least let the tenth inning play out naturally

also, if first base is open, you ALWAYS put JD there. right Blzer?

see Dbacks and Rockies are showing us that the runner on 2nd is a BS useless rule. I hope they keep scoring and leveling the game up till we get to the 20th innings to show how dumb the rule could be.

if the excuse it to end the friggin game earlier then it's not doing a good job of it maybe it should be just a tie then if that is what they want this game is making it funny how easy it is to score with a runner on base especially if you are the home team

It's basically college football style OT, with how these scorelines are being inflated in extra innings.

Out 7 extra innings games thus far, 5 have ended in the 10th.

In 2020 68.2% of extra innings games were ended in the 10th, up from 43.8% in 2019.

So I’d say the rule, though a small sample size, is doing what they had hoped it would.

Springer seems to be injured again and probably not playing Jays home opener anymore.

Hopefully it's not a reoccurring thing with him.

                    Illegitimate doubleheader today.

Hey man let's just play 3-4 innings less than we otherwise would. Not like anything could happen then that could change the results of a season or anything.

Damn, the Reds offense continues to be explosive. 9 runs today thus far.

Jack Flaherty on the mound for the Redbirds. Hopefully he finds his 2019 form and pitches us to our 3rd straight win and a sweep of the Marlins.

Lol. You just know that they're thinking of making it permanent for "pace of play" reasons. Once something becomes a thing it's too easy to just leave it there, however dumb it may be.

I know they are. I'm not stupid. Why do you think I'm upset about it.

Two illegitimate doubleheaders added to the Mets schedule on 6/19 and 9/4 vs the Nationals. I hate the rule but with their bullpen, the fewer innings they play the better

Into the 5th and the Cubs have been hitless since the 4th inning of yesterday's ballgame. Yikes.

Through 6, still no hits. Cubs are combined 0 for their last 33.

                                This is depressing
