They got Kottaras. Not a bad pickup and catching depth is something they need.

Well considering we weren't making the playoffs this year, this was a logical move, and I'm glad we got some talent that could help us in a few years.

LMAO! Wow, that's gonna be ALL OVER Sportscenter and Baseball Tonight. I feel bad for Rios. He's had bad luck ever since he got that illness that sidelined him, now this.

            Timlin...why Timlin....

If we somehow win this game with the combined efforts of Timlin/Corey/Delcarmen and a Tavarez start, with no Pena, Manny, or Papi, I just don't know what I'll do....I just don't.

if the sox can pull it out a win we will be 6 1/2 back of Chicago. then we have three at home with them next week.

That was probably the only way Alex Cora was going to hit a homerun this year. I'm glad I was able to stay awake long enough to see that one, wow.

Pretty horrible news regarding Jon Lester.

He's been diagnosed with Anaplastic Lymphoma. He'll probably begin chemotherapy in the next week.

Wow, that sucks. There are worse things one can be diagnosed with, but anything involving chemo is not something that's fun to deal with. I don't know how long he'll have to be on chemo, but I'd guess he won't be pitching next year. What an unfortunate thing to happen at so young in a promising career. At least they caught it early as it isn't really live threatening at this point.

                              Hats off to Kyle Snyder.

His curveball is really nasty tonight. Great job in keeping hitters off balance.

It's now truly not to be believed.

Papelbon exits the game with an apparent shoulder injury.

I have never really seen a team in my short years of watching baseball, hit so hard with injuries.
