Nope I don't think Mediocre is ok....thats why i am a die hard angels fan because they know what it takes to win and they do it right. padres don't...I also Honestly believe Moores needs to stop sitting on his hands.

I don't make excuses for the team..I just don't sit here and type negative things all the time..I will start if you want me to because I can go off on this team. If that will make you happy? I mean thats what everyone should do right is make BK happy, thats goal right?

Yeah saw that today, He has so much promise for the Devil Rays...Sometimes I just don't understand why players do stupid things like that.

Yeah, but you've actually posted that the Padres are always going to be like this and I should just accept it. I disagree.

I have been an Angel fan also since before I can remember, even back when I was a kid, I could watch Angel games on KTLA and not be able to see the Pads on TV.

I am becoming an Angel fan more and more every year, and less a Padres fan every year for so many reasons it's not even funny.

You can disagree thats cool BK, I respect that. But, I am an Angels Fan First i think thats why i have kinda just sat by and accepted that the padres are what they are..its just different I guess because their really isn't any True San Diego Fans out there that also goes with the chargers..

I was being sarcastic when I said nice. You're acting as if being above the Mendoza line is something to brag about.

As far as not being any true Padres or Chargers fans. I disagree. Rags is a true Padres fan. I live and die with the Chargers, even though they frustrate me more than anything, including my wife. But like the Padres, I am not going to say things are all rosey when they aren't.

Fact of the matter is we haven't had a championship team here in my lifetime, and I am beginning to wonder if we ever will. Especially since the odds are increasing the Chargers will move out of the area.

For the Padres, it's more than just the team on the field and the lack of commitment to winning a championship that's turning me off. It's the TV deal, the stadium experience, etc. The Angels just seem to do these things right, and they generally seem devoted to the fans. The Padres, I get the feeling could do without the fans if it were up to them.

Yeah but, its very hard to fine those cast..of true fans and I know You and Rags are thats why you post in here...It wasn't directed at you guys because I thought that was a given that I didn't have to mention names.

Chargers will move to Oceanside which isn't to bad...they are still san diego..if they moved to LA then you may have something. Also Yeah i don't think the padres will win a championship any time soon which is horrible

Exactly thats what I said about the Angels, I mean come on Arte dropped the ticket prices to help bring in more fans because he knows what counts

Part of the problem is so many people here, aren't from here. There really aren't that many of us natives, and people bring their team allegiances with them when they move here. Which is why you see so many Jets, Giants, Broncos, Chiefs fans when they play here.

As far as the Chargers, I don't see that Oceanside deal going through. That spot at Goat Hill, doesn't make much sense, and the political climate in Oceanside, and the San Diego area in general is skeptical of any mention of building a new stadium. Probably have the Padres, and the Chargers ticket guarantee to thank for that. I think it's inevitable this team ends up elsewhere.

Agreed on the Angels, and they are getting my money instead of the Padres for the forseeable future.

Yeah thats what i am talking about very hard to actually fan true san diego fans..

I mean come on BK how sick is it to pay 30 bucks for an angels ticket for field level 3rd base or 1st base where 30 bucks for the padres get you Outfield seats??

Well, That maybe true but, I still think the chargers will stay period...They aren't going anywhere. Maybe to Chula Vista although I just hate that city...its nasty.

Yup, the Angels are a much more fan friendly environment. And to be honest I am not a huge fan of Petco. For the prices they charge there, there sure are a lot of obstructed views. Not to mention parking and the hassle of getting in and out of the Gas Lamp. The renovations they did on Angels stadium a few years back were phenominal. As someone who's been to just about every park in the league, it's a really underrated place to see a ball game imo.

For the love of all that is holy, be gone already. I thought you made the full conversion earlier this season. Just walk away, I really don't think anyone will miss you. You bitch for the sake of bitching and it's become so very tired.

OOOOOOOOOOOOO I can hardly wait for the KoolAid remarks now.

I went to the game last wednesday. I had great time, it must have been the KoolAid. Left Carlsbad at 5:45 stopped in Encinitas to pick somebody up and walked into the stadium at 6:40 and was in my seat by 6:45. Left after the final out at about 9:30 and was home to put my daughter to bed at 10:45.

I think you need a better map.

Yeah, I am sure that's what it is. Not to mention it was a Wednesday night, and the game only lasted 2 1/2 hours.
