Re: San Diego Padres 2007
Too bad Chris Young was hit with the loss. That carom off the RF wall off Ichiro was a bit of bad luck. He prolly would have got out of the inning despite giving up that run.Comment

Re: San Diego Padres 2007
Just as long as he avoids performing like he did in April he should be fine.
Kind of makes me wonder if some seasoning in AAA would've helped, in any case, it's a good thing he's managed to put that behind him and be somewhat productive since.Comment

Re: San Diego Padres 2007
1) We have a losing record when he starts.
2) He's had more success throwing out baserunners than Bard... but that's not saying much.
3) Production could be better... hitting .283 with the Padres though and that sort of helps.
4) Welcome addition at catcher. Team still lacks cleanup hitter behind Adrian.Comment

Re: San Diego Padres 2007
No moves of significance to help the offense around the deadline. Shocking.
Must be nice to be a fan of a team that wants to win.Comment

Re: San Diego Padres 2007
Great, maybe its the players that's causing this offense to suck eh Front Office?
I think Merv Rettenmund was fired. Great, meanwhile Dave Magadan is doing alright in Boston.
Wally Joyner is the new hitting coach, but come on... when 4-8 is full of inconsistent hitters, it's no wonder the team will be last in the league in hitting.Comment

Milton Bradley is a good acquisition... it's too bad he seems to be the only one on offense worth a damn.Comment
