15 runs over 6 games this past week. That sucks.

Its not like he is injured and needs to heal and then come back.
He is going to through something in his life and only he knows when he will feel comfortable playing again. I do know he has been at the stadium the last week taking BP and fielding practice.

I honestly have no idea why Will Taveras ever gets a start anymore, he is just horrible at the plate. He should only be used as a pinch runner and defensive sub. Lets start giving Dickerson the start in CF everyday for atleast a month and see how he does. The team as a whole just cant hit right now, Jay Bruce just looks lost. I heard Marty and Jeff talking about how Votto being out is hurnting Jay. They said Joey and Jay are best friends and Jay is one of the only guys on the team that knows what Joey is going through and it is affecting him too. They said every since Jay has come up to the bigs he was always a very happy go lucky guy and that as soon as his Joey left the team Jay has become very quiet and stays to himself.

Well now the Braves come to town, I will be at the games Wednesday and Thursday. Lets hope they can start scoring some runs!

Also Brandon couldnt be more wrong on missing the take sign!
He says he dissagrees with Dusty and should be swinging in that situation????
It doesnt matter if he disagrees!!! He is not the manager, he is a player that is suppose to do what his manager says. He is trying to be bigger than the team and it is bullcr@p!

I' ve noticed that about Bruce as well. I KNEW somethin' was different about Jay...he just ain't the same w/out Votto in the lineup. That's GREAT news 'bout Votto takin' BP & stuff... was eligible to come off the DL Sunday.

maybe he's comin' back...i hope. A Gon has been lookin' pretty decent @ the plate of late...He is hitting .318 (7-for-22) over his last six games. Chipper Jones is in a hella slump...let's hope he STAYS that way.

Saw on ESPN bottom-line that BP was fined undisclosed amount by Baker for ignoring sign.

I would have suspended him for a couple of games.
The guy has been called out 3 different times this year for not hustling and now ignores a sign???!!!
The thing is he always talks about wanting to be a leader and he does this crap???
I know this winter at the Reds caravan he talked about wanting to be the next Reds captain and wear the C on his chest.
Also even with all of this he is just really hard not to like, he is still my 3rd favorite Red.

He just doesn't have the attitude to be a leader, let alone a captain on this team. If he does become captain or anything like that, it's a slap in the face to the rest of the team. This guy can play however he wants whenever he wants and be named a leader while we have guys busting their tails but without the same natural talents and they get nothing. That's crap.

Phillips -- the offense stinks because it's players like YOU who don't know when to take a pitch! 2 straight walks, 9 straight balls, then 3 more straight balls and you're swinging? That's inexcuseable. That's like me telling my friend not to swing at the next pitch when playing MLB 09 because I'm going to throw it out of the zone no matter how good it looks, yet he still swings every time. Damn it.

I'm thrilled that Dusty Baker fined BP. I think he's actually get fined 3 teams, off the top of my head. The other 2 were for not running out ground balls or fly outs. In the pros so often players think they are above the team or organization. Its refreshing to see a manager show some guts and fine a star player.

I don't know who ESPN's source is for this but now they say the Reds are now denying they fined Brandon. Saw it on the bottom-line during the Brewers-Tribe game. Honestly, I hope they did do it. Maybe the Kangaroo Court took care of things? Does that even still exist since Larkin left?

How much longer before Stubbs gets called up? Kid is playing really well in Louisville and stole his 23rd base the other night.

What OFer would they send down if then brought Stubbs up???
And dont even say Taveras because its not going to happen, he makes too much.
My point is I dont see Stubbs getting the call anytime soon because they already have 5 OFers on the team and none of them are going to be sent down.
Not Taveras, Dickerson, Bruce, Gomes, or Nix. Again I too would like to see it but its not going to happen.

Have no idea. I was at the game tonight. Saw two full innings and lots of rain. Left during the 2nd rain delay that started around 10:00. Anyway, I couldn't believe that Taveras was starting either, especially with Jurrjens pitching. Put Dickerson in there! Maybe Willy just needs a game or two off to get his head right.
