Pitiful, pitiful. Carlos Fisher is shot after that long game in Philly it seems, ala Harang.
Also Tim Kurkjin said Reyes would be a great fit in Cincy, but I don't see us getting him/making a serious offer.

seems true, read an article a few months back where Harang stated he had to change his arm angle and delivery after those few pitches just to compensate for the fatigue and has never been the same.

Sorry I didnt post any updates from GABP yesterday. I was sitting first row in CF, and kept giving Matt Kemp a bunch of crap. Then he hit a HR and grand slam. My buddies blame me for our loss...

SS and LF have been hitting like minor leaguers. They need to get Heisey more playing time. Gomes, 200, Lewis 230
I like Lewis a lot, but Heisey needs to get in there.

hope to see Volquez regain his late 2010 form after his call back up. apparently, he's made his delivery more compact and his control really improved in the minors. didn't he do the same thing last year when they sent him down? I'm starting to question this guy's intelligence.

but anyway, hope he can give the staff a huge boost tonight.

side note - saw on MLB Network that he FINALLY cut those damn dreads. maybe that's been the problem. the difference between the 2008 season and the 2009-2011 seasons? he had no dreads in 2008. maybe that's the problem! :wink:

great game last night by Volquez. hope to see him maintain this level of play. 7 innings, 1 ER, but most importantly, just 2 walks, and a decent strike to ball ratio.

but wish we could've provided a little support for Bronson today. tough loss, really could've used the sweep.

Dumpster pitched a great game today. It happens.

I hate the west coast trips, by the way. I think they've played a little better out there the last couple of seasons, especially in LA, but these trips can derail the Reds for a while if it isn't a good one. Considering the road trip they just finished last month, I guess it can't get much worse.
