Re: The Friendly Confines: The Official Chicago Cubs Thread
According to a pair of Google searches, Lester is going to wear 33 and Montero 16. I'd guess you're correct when it comes to Hammel either sticking with 40 or keeping 39. Lester changes numbers because #31 is retired with Maddux and Jenkins. No idea why Montero went with 16 though, nobody on our team is number 26.
bluengold, that's hilarious. Loved the "ripped off the A's" line.Comment

You ever find out the numbers Montero and Hammel are going with?Comment

Re: The Friendly Confines: The Official Chicago Cubs Thread
The Google search about Lester's number was wrong, so I have no idea. The official site hasn't updated the 40-man with numbers for those guys yet, and I can't find a picture of Hammel's press conference with a jersey on him.Comment

So, this is going to happen. Don't make me think about the other SI covers, I just want to live in the moment.Last edited by k_mac; 12-16-2014, 02:05 PM.Comment

Lots of good signings this offseason. I excited to see our young bats this year with some experienced pitchers.
