I just read the Rickets family purchased 3 rooftop buildings/businesses across from Wrigley Field.Comment

Overpaid for Dexter Fowler and even worse, every idiot will now present the Kris Bryant question.Comment

wait really I think it is a clear upgrade in an area of need. I loved Luis but absolutely approve this move. it will probably be Olt or the guy they got from the Braves at 3rd would be my guess.

Re: The Friendly Confines: The Official Chicago Cubs Thread
I think Brett Taylor from Bleacher Nation did the math on Kris Bryant and said he'd only need to stay at Iowa for 9 games so that extra year of control kicks in. It'll only be 2 weeks. Assuming he does well in Spring Training.
Hey, don't you guys think Alcantara should be the everyday left fielder and Coghlan should come off the bench?? I know they're competing now, but Mendy can play.Comment

Alcantara needs to play everyday. Speaking of that, Baez is struggling down in Puerto Rico and the Cubs are concerned. He's still swinging for the fences on an 0-2 count.
I remember when I took a beating in here because I said Baez is a headcase and needs to shorten his swing. Now, he'll be fighting for his job because of that. So it looks like Alcantara could win the 2nd base job by default. I'm fine with that.
They could trade Baez for all I care. We have enough power hitters anyway.Comment

because it's not his swing it's his whole approach. I'm not sure how this makes him a headcase.
Everyone knew he would be the one that would take alot more time.Wolverines Packers Cubs Celtics
