    But do the Jays want him at his price? I read that he wanted $17 million for one season. Obviously, that's his starting point and it will come down but I don't have confidence the Jays will add anything close to that to their payroll based on all of AA's comments this off-season.

    There's part of me that thinks the team is going to be very hesitant about adding a 37-year old pitcher to a staff that already includes Dickey and Buehrle.

    Hopefully, they sign somebody soon (and I think they will) because the potential for an outright disaster looms. This team is so thin that a month long injury to any key player is going to be catastrophic. Plus season ticket sales have to be down and if they start the season struggling like last season the place is going to be an empty morgue come June.
