Both of them really don't project to be much. I really want to stay clear on either. Ubaldo I'd go max 3/39 for. Santana I plain don't want.

    Still wouldn't mind Garza.

I agree with you. It's like picking the best out of your older brother's hand me downs.

Does anyone even still want Tanaka? If it's gonna cost like 6/140, I dunno if he can realistically live up to that contract. I really hope the Cubs' asking price on Shark comes down cause I would love to trade Sanchez for him, and then maybe trade Rasmus for the Reds for a good pitcher.

Hopefully, once Tanaka signs the rest of the pitching market will play out quickly. It feels incredibly slow.

If we could trade Rasmus for a good starter, I'd make that trade in a heartbeat. But I think teams will want more for a good starter.

I don't think Rasmus will pull his worth on the market, unfortunately, and even if we made a lateral move (got a pitcher equal to Rasmus), having to play Gose in CF instead of whoever would have been in the rotation would probably end up as a net loss imo.

I agree about Gose but I think we're going to see a lot of Gose this year (even as a fourth outfielder) for all the wrong reasons. AA is going to want to show he got something out of the Halladay deal and Gose is going to be given every opportunity and then some.

It also wouldn't surprise me if Kyle Drabek is one of the first call-ups from Buffalo for the same reason.

I agree that any trade for a starter is just going to be a lateral move which is why I so desperately want to see them sign a free agent starter. I expect -- and don't care -- if we overpay.

What was the feeling about Drabek last year? He seemed like the forgotten man that no one talked about. I THINK he had a cup of coffee with the team this past season and did okay right?

I'd really like to see what Drew Hutchison does in spring training. I certainly wouldn't want to rush him back to the Majors but if he performs really well I could see him getting a spot on the big club even if the Jays get a FA starter. In a perfect world though i'd like to see Hutch in Buffalo and if he pitches well enough i'd call him up around the all star break if the Jays need some depth in the pitching staff.

Nobody talked about him because he was injured for most of the year.

If he can get his control down and walk less guys, I think he'd be fine.

Wonder if it'll be 100% like the USA one or abit of a Canadian twist to it(like showing Blue Jays specials and stuff)

It's pretty pathetic when TFC is outspending the Blue Jays by tens of millions.

Is anyone at Rogers/Blue Jays even noticing?

Well to be fair the Blue Jays did blow their brains out last year.

Wouldn't it be funny if the Jays took a flyer on Vernon Wells as a bench/utility guy after the Yanks have DFA'ed him?

True but I'm frustrated with the state of the team right now. I feel like they could be really good with one or two more quality starters. Without them I feel like we could lose 90 games.

I've already bought a 15-game flex pack. I don't want games to be over by the fifth inning when our starters get lit up. That happened quite a few times last year when I was in attendance.

I think Wells is completely done. He has been horrible at the plate for the past two seasons. His slugging percentage was a comical .349 last season.

Two starts don't have that much of an impact unless they're more or less Kershaw in a good year.

We're probably an 84ish win team as is. Like, a little better than the Mariners.
