The first reports were two weeks, everything after has been longer and longer it seems.

Bird is gonna start at first. Torres assigned to AA, not surprising but man it's been fun watching this dude tear up spring training. Can't wait for him to make the jump, the future is so bright.

Bird has been on a tear in ST, can't wait to see what he can do for a full season.

So I went on a limb and drafted Bird for my 1st basemen on my fantasy team .. I honestly feel like he's going to tear it up this year .

Yea he could very well have a strong year, I think from the small sample size he's a consistent player not so much up and down, who gradually improving the more playing time he racks up

Him Sanchez and Judge could be 3-4-5 force in lineup for many years to come (fingers crossed)

Yankees reassigned Tyler Wade to the minors and are likely to use Torreyes as the starting SS in Didi's absence. Why. He had a great spring training as well. Just so frustrated with this move.

I'm indifferent. It seems that the plan was always to have Torreyes make the team for versatility, at that point he was going to start over Wade anyway. I think Wade will be better off getting consistent playing time and starts in the minors than coming off the bench for a month in the Majors.

I'm not sure if i like this move or not, what happens when Didi comes back? Torreyes back to the minors? What if he is playing really well then what happens with Didi? Some will say alternate them but I don't like that method with top rated talent, rather see them stay in minors and fine tune their skills. IDK, part of me thinks this is the test to see if Castro gets moved out sooner rather then later.

When DiDi comes back, they can send Kozma down and move Torreyes into the utility infielder role.

Yup, made the roster as a utility infielder so I'd assume hes the first man down when DiDi comes back and Torreyes moves back into that role.

Judge starting in Right, Sev opens the season as the 4th starter, Green, Cessa, and Jordan Montgomomery competing for the 5 spot.

Wade will get his chance, but I agree with Diehard, He should start in the minors for now. Wade certainly has more upside then Torreyes. But now's not the time to keep Wade up. Didi won't be gone for long. Torreyes or Kozma can be a band aid till he comes back.

Would Torreyes be better served playing regularly in AAA rather then spot time in the big leagues as he is still young and developing? Maybe not, he might be good either way, its going to be interesting because if some of these vets/regulars start going down periodically and the young talent that has been lighting things up step in and do as good or better Girardi is going to have some tough decisions on his hand, especially in a contract year for him.
