Only 2 seasons of Ellsbury injury updates left to go until he’s on someone else’s injury list.

Betances will the start the season on the IL. Found this brilliant post in the comments on MLB Trade Rumors though:

“I’ll take the Red Sox bullpen over the Yankees bullpen any day”

Is it just me or did the discussion in the comments on that site go downhill not long ago?

Edit: Yep it was just a troll. Shame that the site became infested with trolling and nonsense in the comments.

Hey, even if they don’t get Zion there’s always still the miracle dream of KD or Kyrie coming to the Knicks to team up with.....um.....Dennis Smith Jr? Kevin Knox?

Dude said he wants to make as much money as possible, sounds like it's time for Money Melo to pass the torch to Dollar Durant eh?

Voit is such a steal for Cashman.

When Cashman keeps striking gold like that, it's really hard to not understand even a little bit why he loves going bargain shopping.

Not like they care now with Goldy, but I wonder what happened with him in St Louis. I feel similar about Didi. Those analytics guys are seeing stuff that the entire league is missing.

And it's not even just missing stuff, it's gotta be mechanics also because these guys are hitting their stride immediately. Didi, Voit - to name two that stand out - just stepped in and pretty much turned into completely different players. Voit mostly. He went from AAAA fodder to Hall of Fame numbers (albeit in a short sample size but it's not letting up at the moment).

It sucks that we never got to see Drury play because I feel he could have been similar, but I guess even the analytics guys couldn't predict he had vision problems.

Voit seemingly came out of nowhere. He was an afterthought when the Yankees signed him. Just somebody that hopefully could do a little bit better then Bird. Which wasn't asking much. I thought nothing of it.

Now I'm thinking this guy could be an all star. Hits the ball extremely hard and has pretty good plate discipline.

Never saw that coming. I thought Didi would become a good SS here I liked his potential. Voit I never saw coming.

Is there anybody better in the business then Cashman at turning fools gold into actual gold?

Hicks, Didi, Voit all paying huge dividends for absolutely nothing. It's kind of insane.

Funny enough, I feel like this title belonged to St. Louis for a time, especially early in the decade.

They were the kings of finding nobodies from their system and promoting them while everyone else was like, "uh, you're promoting that AA bum? You can't be serious?"

Then they become huge contributors to championship teams. Not sure how they missed on Voit. And if they didn't and they always knew, maybe they gave up trying.

This one I can watch but I'm forced to suffer listening to Gary Thorne... A good time to get listen to some albums I've been meaning to get to.

Well, from the New York Post article it doesn’t sound like I misssed much today.

Not his fault they lost but another big 9th inning at bat for Stanton , another strikeout.
