Re: The 2009/2010 Big East Thread

Big Game tonight between SU and Cal. If Cal does not shoot well from outside, they will not win, Cal has not played a team that runs a 2-3 Zone quite like Syracuse. I suspect Syracuse will get plenty of Turnovers and hopefully win this game.

My Prediction Syracuse 82- Cal 75

FYI: I am sure ESPN will show the highlights of the 6OT game being this is at MSG, so UCONN fans beware.

        Great showing by 'Cuse tonight.

You're right on Causey but Wattad, Rivers, and Macklin all got minutes. Macklin has avg'd 14 & 8 so far at UF and actually had something resembling a post game. Rivers is starting for the Hoosiers. We could have used both of those guys, especially Macklin.

I never said that, but we can't assume that the Princeton offense was the reason they made it to the FF. I'm sure they could have made it without that offense.

Wow, I saw that the Big East is 40-0 now in non-conference play. That's impressive. The unblemished record may very well be tarnished tonight, however, as USF plays South Carolina.

This whole Ebanks situation is starting to make me nervous. I don't like the sound of it at all. It could be nothing, but I'm afraid there's something serious going on behind the scenes.

Mazzula's injury isn't looking good, either...

Ebanks did not play in the first WVU game of the season due to "personal problems". Huggins just recently came out and stated that Ebanks could miss further time due to the "personal problems". What "personal problems" is is anyone's guess. I just don't like the sound of it and fear there could be something bad gone wrong (there have been rumors of him not going to class as the reason for the suspension). Hopefully, it's nothing bad...

Well, I guess I jinxed it as Providence falls to Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

USF is better than anyone thinks they are. They will shock a top team this year, guaranteed.

George Goode will be out for the next 3 games. He missed the final game of exhibition and the season opener vs Arkansas due to having two concussions in 2 1/2 weeks time. He was medically cleared to return to practice, but his first practice after returning earlier this week, he stepped on a basketball and sprained his ankle.

                            Wesley Johnson is the truth!

Originally I was bummed when SU lost Flynn, Devo and Harris but I really think this 09-10 team has the chance to do some big things.

Johnson is a stud, Onuaku and Jackson are tough inside, Rautins' game has improved every year and Scoop Jardine is looking good. Joseph is another big body that is productive.

That was a huge win against the defending champs last night. So much for the loss to LeMoyne

UofL wins a ugly game today. UofL shot I believe 33% from the floor. This is the type of performance I expected against Arkansas in the opener away from Freedom Hall, not in our 2nd game at home.

Well I found a website that shows who the AP voters voted for, I should not have looked because it has made me angry. 2 voters left Syracuse off of the top 25 and 10 voters put UNC Ahead of Syracuse.

If your not gonna even bother looking at the score section of your Newspaper, DO NOT VOTE.
