Re: 2014 Recruiting Thread
Works for me because Illinois really missed the boat, for some reason they didn't start showing interest until Kentucky jumped in (little late at that point) but at least Kentucky isn't Michigan State so he'll be out of conference.Last edited by IlliniM1ke; 09-11-2013, 06:55 PM.Favorite Teams:

And it means the chances of Tyus to UK decrease, or you'd think so at least.Comment

Re: 2014 Recruiting Thread
Ulis shouldn't matter in a decision for Jones. Jones is a better player than him, and Ulis wouldn't be stealing any PT from him. That being said, I don't think there is much of a chance he goes to UK. Okafor on the other hand, if he was going to go to a different school than Tyus I think it would be UK.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: 2014 Recruiting Thread
I have to say Ulis to UK (which is being confirmed by basically everywhere) is surprising to say the least. UK will certainly continue to recruit over him and he could easily turn into a Wiltjer situation. For a 5'8" 140 pound point guard to ever make it to the NBA, he needs PT and to develop. I would bet that with Cal's 7 man rotations, he could easily be the odd man out in the future and end up transferring. I also wouldn't be surprised if he is basically run out of town like Goodwin and Harrow.Comment

A transfer wouldn't shock me at all though.Favorite Teams:

Kentucky has officially offered Myles Turner yesterday during Cal's in home visit. He is trying to get him to Big Blue Madness.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

As for Ulis, we will have to wait and see on that. He played very well against Mudiay and Jones but I have a hard time imagining his small little frame will hold up against high major competition. And as for being recruited over, that pretty much comes with the territory at most major schools. You go to these schools because you can play with the best, not because you are afraid of competition.#WeAreUKComment

Re: 2014 Recruiting Thread
Could happen but undersized guards can play in college, just because he doesn't have an NBA future doesn't mean he can't play at UK, he will have to really perform because NBA caliber PG prospects aren't going to shy away from Kentucky because of Ulis so he will constantly be in competition with guys who are more physically gifted than him.
A transfer wouldn't shock me at all though.Comment
