just because i didnt specify, does not mean you're obligated to make an assumption, and make a judgement based upon that very assumption.

I have blown by a user controlled Rubio on consecutive plays and went for layups with the off hand and had him block it.

Cool. But not every player is a shot blocker, I guess that's what u guys fail to recognize. U can't just switch to a non-shot blocker like Rubio and jump with someone like Derozan. That's not good defense. That's actually dumb defense since u are attempting to do so with someone with a low shot blocking rating. Yet the games let's u get away with it and u think its good "fun" defense. It's actually terrible defense. With that being the said, now every big is Dikembe Mutombo. Which is unrealistic. Guys like Adams from OKC are beast in the paint. I played the Clippers online and blocked Griffins dunk twice. Once with Klay and the other with Laborsoa. Both of them was very unrealistic. To me that's not fun defense becuase it's so out of the norm. And yet u guys feel good about that? Ur not a sim player dude. U can't play arcade style defense and think it's sim.

Like I said, people, don't even bother to say anything else. Once blocks are nerfed, just sit back and laugh at the topics that begin to pop up where the ball begins to go through hands.

So far, I have really no issues with the blocking. I honestly think it's being blown out of proportion.

Like DC said, the catching up on chase downs is the only thing that's a little too much.

But, so far, blocking has been cool on my end. Would much rather have complaints of too many blocks instead of none though. So if 2K can find a better sweet spot for blocking, I am with it, as long as blocking doesn't suffer from it.

Does anyone really think that blocks would be tuned back to 2K15 levels, seriously? With the way the coded blocks for this year, it probably isn't even possibly from a tuning perspective. The big bad Boogeyman from last year, Patch 4(cue ominous music) has too many people scared witless about any adjustment that might be made. Too much pearl clutching going on in these threads.

I don't think people are complaining that the when someone clearly slaps the ball, they get blocked. Its the fact that every player in the game can automatically go for the ball when they jump to contest, implying that everyone has the timing down and the dexterity to block someone when they release the ball or bring it up to try to do a layup/dunk.

As the game is now, all you need to do is jump (don't need to time anything) with any nearby player, and chances are they are going to knock the ball out of the offensive player's hands if they are trying to dunk it or lay it in. The success rate for blocks is way to high

Everyone in the NBA can block a shot if someone is stupid enough to take a shot within their physically limits, maybe 2k mechanics are exaggerated and I will agree that chase down can be downed down, but 2K please don't mess up the game listening to people on this thread we don't need things to go back to 2k15.

I want ratings to matter. The same way people would complain if Tony Allen was stroking threes, equally anemic shot blockers are being just as impactful.

IMO it's still the same as 2K15. While playng games, you always get more blocks than the CPU (Just like 2K15) and the CPU doesn't get enough blocks (Especially elite defenders that should)(Also just like last year). The blocking is definitely much improved and feels way better this year, however the amount of block shots is way too easy for the user again like last year. 2K15 I had the block slider at around 25-30 and blocks were still easy. 2K16 is the same....
