If it'll be a problem then, it would already be a problem now.

If the only reason that's not happening already is because guard blocks are overpowered, then guard blocks are REALLY overpowered.

It actually is somewhat of a problem now. I mean, I've even seen 7'3 Cs out there spamming square on drives and getting strips. It's going to really be a problem once blocking is 'tuned.'

Luckily I avoid all that by pulling up from mid. Oh, I forgot, people here think that's 'cheese.'

I think you may have missed my point. It's a flawed argument to say that something shouldn't be fixed because it is masking another problem.

It is masking that problem because it is easier to abuse and more overpowering than the other issue. The more steal spamming would be a problem, the MORE it demonstrates overpowered blocking is a worse problem right NOW.

It's like saying we shouldn't cure cancer because those people might eventually get old.

Blocks need major tuning it is ridiculous. The CPUs block accuracy is ridiculous. Guards block tracking are ridiculous. Block/miss dunks are ridiculous. GOALTENDING blocking dunks inside the rim not being called. Ridiculous.

In the half court, I was taught to take it to the rim strong to at least draw the foul. I always have to remind myself to just take it in weak so it'll go in while the dunk will get blocked.

And, over the last couple of years, I've had my fill of Paul George's dunks getting blocked from behind by the trailing man on the break.

I've probably had as many of his blocks dunked that way in one game of 2K than PG has had blocked that way his entire career in real life.

Doing fastbreak dunks is a terrible idea in 2k16. Almost a 100% chance you'll get blocked from behind if the guy you're using doesn't have a two-handed dunk where he doesn't **** the ball back.

If not, be prepared for the trailing pg to jump and swat the ball out of your hands

This is My Career with my 80 overall 6'3" balanced PG, defense has 5 bars so I imagine my block rating is 50 or less and my vertical is sub 80 I believe

It remind me the days of nba live 2004 and 2005, you get into vicinity of anybody with 70+ shot block rating and get blocked 95+% of the time if u try a layup or dunk.

Not exactly like that in nba 2k16, but feels like it gotten close to it sometimes. R.Gobert is my favorite center because of that, he's just block machine with the long arms .

the stand blocks are ok for me...

But the chasedown blocks are a joke.. when you see a 40 yo Kareem chasing down Westbrook from halfcout and blocking from behing, you know there's something really wrong.

Can't count how many time i have crossed a defender, going to attack the rim, and a Center came out from the other side, with an incredible speed burst and find me on the rim coz my player get slowered after dribbling.

To me it's not the blocks, it's more the majority of the layup animations don't break.

If I drive down the lane for a layup and decide to go left handed, see the help defender on the left than use RS to finish with the right. 8-10 times you will get an animation that won't let you break that layup & finish with the right. You basically have to predetermined to go right, but still give that look your going left.

Most users are getting their shots blocked because of that reason alone. I still have problems with it & get a lot of layups blocks. It's hard to think finish with the right hand on the left side, because you know a shot blocker is coming, when your taught if you on the left finish left & use the right to protect the ball.

The blocks are completely out of control. I literally get chased down blocked like 8 times a game. Nothing worse than crossing up someone or having a wide open lane and a defender magically comes outta no where for a perfectly time chase down play every time. And no fouls if he fails. Just ridiculous. Needs to be toned way down

Not enough fouls called on chasedowns. You can literally karate chop through the offensive player's body with no consequence.
