Aside from players models I believe one of the biggest problems with the art direction of 2k is how they handle textures. I just bringing Madden name for comparission purposes, not trying to start a debate of which game is better or whatever...but in my opinion Madden handle the texture work a lot better, the face scans quality is superb you can even count the freckles of a player face and the skins and uniforms textures are better represented overall.
Textures in NBA 2k have this flat painted look on them that makes it look like...well a video game. I don't know if this is an engine limitation but is very noticeable for me.Comment

Anyway, can someone check if the glitch/issue with the ankle wrap, leg sleeve and calf sleeve causing socks to disappear still exists?
This issue has been around since last gen and wasn't resolved last year.

this is not true, they look bad! skinny crackhead body type someone saying other wise is just lying. 2k16 looks 10 times better than 2k17 from jerseys to the textures.Comment

A bit off? I guess its a matter of opinion, But the skinny models are way to thin through the arms, mainly upper arms. And who the devs those chose to get some of the skinny body models is waaaay off base,at this point, the devs have to had seen the complaints, and either can't/will or don't want to/disagree to change them. like i said before keep the model. It would be great for Manute Bol. but not hayward, or others that are actually quite ripped and at the least avg build through the arm area. Then they got rid of that model and replaced it the skinny High School model for reasons I cannot fathom. That's why everyone who had Curry's model now looks terrible, including Curry, which probably covers about half the guards in the league. Gordon was one of the casualties.Comment

The only important statistic is the final score as a whole. Obviously gameplay was their focus this year. 2k14 is the prettiest 2k for player models. But also had weak gameplay.Comment

They didn't say to replace all players that already looked great with a high school body created only for the Spike Lee story. I would like to think 2K's art direction would be able to take feedback and respond in a nuanced manner that prioritizes accuracy over lazy sweeping cut and paste changes, so I really hope the change wasn't because they "listened" to complaints.Comment
