Re: NBA 2K17 Trade Discussion Thread

I'd love to hear opinions on my trade debate...

I'm starting a 'chise with 76ers ....I have the current nba roster (and real draft picks too) ...I'd like to trade Noel for a point guard... the 2 I'm lookin at...

    Noel for D'Angelo Russell
    OR

    Noel for Kriss Dunn

Trade for Russell works off real world...how he pissed off team mates by posting the swaggy p confession.... both players are young prospects

Trade for Dunn also works, cuz he's a lower overall...Minnesota still has Rubio, Jones, and even LaVine, and coach thibbs is defense oriented...and Noel is a defensive threat

My untouchable are Simmons and embeed

I'd like to really keep Okafor, Henderson, saric....and possibly Bayless....

I'd also like to dump ellisova.... and I'd be willing to part with draft picks for the right trade

    Thanks for any feedback!

I drafted Jackson after my first season with the #4 pick and he's been quite good with a lot of room to develop. He's already by far the best defender on my team in his second season and he can run the break very well. I play him at the 3 with Antetokoumpo (via trade) at the 4 and they make my front court rather nasty.

Can't help you as far as a trade package goes but in my opinion Dunn is a way more realistic target then D'Angelo Russel. Can't see the Lakers moving him.

Yeah I was thinking trade for Dunn would be more likely to happen...only way lakers would do that..would be due to how team did feel bout D'Angelo(and it would be for Okafor).

          What bout these ideas?...

Noel for Dunn and swap 1st round picks (Philly gets the better 1st)

          Thier more fantasy

Noel and ellyasova for Russell and Randal (and Philly gives lakers Thier 1st round pick back)

Josh Jackson and Dennis Smith went in top 2 and I couldn't find a trade back to 5 I liked. So I decided to go with Fultz over Giles and Monk. Monk had better potential but was 3-4 points lower overall and couldn't shoot. Fultz is like 6'4 so can play some 2 and was the better shooter, defender and had speed. I would have liked to have Giles, just thought Fultz was the BPA. I had the 1st pick in the 2nd round and drafted some SF with the name of O.G and he looks to be a steal with low 70's rating and A perimeter defense. Since I don't need my SF to score I could even start him this year.

I got lucky again and signed Steph Curry in FA and moved him to SG. I also was able to bring back Milsap with bird rights even though looking back I overpaid him to much with max money. I'm now hooked on playing 2k which I haven't been since it came out. I played 16 up until release and made like 1 trade the whole series. So I think my strategy now will be to have fun and while not doing anything completely crazy be a little less sim and just sit back and enjoy .

Cousins is in the last year of his deal and I would like to get him while keeping my 3 guards of (curry, schroder, Schroder). Here are some assets I could trade

            Milsap
            Howard
Tim Hardaway Jr (last year of deal)
hawks 1st round pick this year
            wolves 1st round (lottery protected)
            2 1st round picks in '19
            C Muscalo (1.5* value)
PG Malcolm Delany (not much value)
SF Taurean Prince (current starting SF)
I have other vets on min deals that don't have much value

Re: NBA 2K17 Trade Discussion Thread

So I traded with the Lakers, it's been stated that lakers probably wouldn't trade Russell...but it's still a video game, still tried to make it somewhat fair/realistic

              76ers get
              D'Angelo Russell and Julius Randle

              Lakers get
              Nerlens Noel, Ersan Ilyasova
'19 1st rd pick (kings) top 3 protected
              '18 2nd rd and '19 2nd rd (knicks)

I was gonna do 1st rd unprotected, but....

              Russell went 2nd
              Noel went 6th
              Randle went 7th

I would have done 1st pick protected if that was an option... I tried to keep it fair.... so what do all you nba-heads think?

Yeah only reason I considered Russell being moved was based off the recorded video of him an nick young.... seemed like it turned the team against him last year.

Re: NBA 2K17 Trade Discussion Thread

I am currently at the last week in December and sitting 2nd to the Cavs in the East. I am still looking for a big and my main target was ZBo. However, the Grizz are 2nd in the West and it wouldn't be realistic for them to deal him for picks. I have scoured the bottom feeders and it seems like the top 3 attainable targets are:

                        1) Ibaka - Magic are last in the East and hes on an expiring contract. I would look to get him for a first rounder + Zeller + Rozier

                        2) Monroe - Bucks are middle of the pack but not playing Monroe a lot. His contact sucks but I am not sure how I could get him. My guess is Zeller+Rozier+ maybe a late 1st or couple 2nds.

                        3) Noel or Okafor- Philly is a surprise this year but Noel is only getting 15 mins. I am not sure what Philly would want back. Maybe I could get Noel for late 1st, Zeller, Rozier ... or maybe I could pry Okafor for a better pick + the 2 mentioned?

Not sure which route to go. Ibaka seems the most logical but not sure if my offer would be on the right track.

Thanks in advanced for the help.

Sorry, but that's a terrible trade for Lakers. They gave up entirely too much. Let's have a look at the trade broken down:

Randle vs Noel straight up. Randle has more trade value. At minimum, if you want Randle, you're doing Noel + '18 2nd + '19 2nd (those picks barely move the needle tbh). That's purely a starting point to work off of as that wouldn't be enough as Randle's trade value is considerably higher than Noel's who 76ers have been shopping for a while now and Lakers love Randle, trying to develop him into a sort of Draymond Green lite. Lakers also paid big money to Mozgov in the offseason to play C, meaning they need a legit PF more so than they need a C. Not to mention Noel's coming off contract so if they want to keep him they'll have to pony up decent money, like Mozgov money (again).

So already you've ripped them IMO. That leaves just Russell for Ilyasova + 1st round pick, which is obviously laughable. Ilyasova has almost no trade value, so you're basically doing Russell for a 1st round pick, and not even a '17 or '18 one, a '19 one. That has considerably less value being 2+ years away, and it's also top 3 protected meaning they can't even strike gold with it. Also, if Lakers were unhappy with Russell, they would've moved him last year when the Young stuff was leaked, but they stuck with him and it's not even a talking point this season anymore. Not to mention it makes zero sense for them to trade their young and really only good PG on the roster. Who's gonna run the point for them? Calderon? Huertas? Lol c'mon man. Williams is a better 2-guard as is Clarkson.

This trade wouldn't even be fair if you swapped out Randle for Nance IMO, so you can obviously guess where I stand on this trade as is...

I'm using Portland and have a few ideas for them. Currently using start today and am looking at getting a defensive minded big in lineup.

What do you think about this idea?

POR Receive: Bismack Biyombo, Mario Hezonja, 2019 2nd RD Pick (Swap Best)

ORL Receive: Allen Crabbe, Noah Vonleh and 2019 2nd RD pick (Swap Best)

                              What other Bigs are available?

I am willing to trade anyone bar, Lillard, McCollum (unless it's a great Trade) and Aminu

lavine is too unrealistic in reality, exum and dunn more make sense
