similar to the recent portland trade for ibaka, how about nuggets trading for ibaka, think it could be faried and maybe a future pick for ibaka, get faried off the books?

Re: NBA 2K17 Trade Discussion Thread
So I played some games yesterday and today with my new squad
PG: Knight/ MCW
SG: Wade/ Ulis
SF: Butler/ Valentine
PF: Zipser/ McDermott
C: Gibson/ Lopez]
Yeah, I changed Zipser to SF/PF (I think it would fit better to him) and he is really good for an second round guy.
We didn't reach the playoffs and got the 12th pick in the draft. In the draft we got a trade offer from the pelicans with there 7th pick (Smith Jr.) and some other dude for our 12th pick and one second round pick. My thoughts at this moment: WTF!
I got my favourite player in this draft with an 12th pick. A really great moment.
After the free agency my team looks like this:
PG: Smith Jr. / Knight
SG: Wade / Valentine
SF: Butler / McDermott
PF: Zipser/ Gibson
C: Noel / Felicio

Re: NBA 2K17 Trade Discussion Thread
I need a bit more help from you gurus. I'm at the deadline in MyLeague and I wanna shake things up around the league since I haven't seen a single trade. I was gonna put things on hold until the real trade deadline and just make those moves in game, but I don't have the patience.
What are some trades that you guys can see taking place at or before the deadline? I have a few in mind that I need some help keeping true to life:
- Jimmy Butler to the Celtics
- Moving P.J. Tucker
- Moving Goran Dragic
- Moving Rudy Gay
- Moving Jusuf Nurkic
- Possibly moving Vucevic and Elfrid Payton
- Possibly moving Melo
- Possibly moving Dwight Howard
- Finding a backup PG for Cleveland
- Finding a legit PF for Toronto (Ibaka or Millsap)
All feedback is greatly appreciated.

Re: NBA 2K17 Trade Discussion Thread
As Trekfan menions above if you could show us the standings it would help dictate certain moves... Other than that, I would say the only one in your above list that will not happen is moving Rudy Gay. No one is going to trade for him now that he tore his achilles, not too mention his age 30/how hard it is to fully recover from those in terms of explosiveness.
I'll post the standings as soon as I get home from work.
Jayhawkfan11 Rudy Gay is healthy in MyLeague. Do you still think he'd stay put until the offseason?

First off, wow at some of those records. It's awesome to see that a record as bad as Orlando's and as good as Golden State's. I don't think I've seen anything as bad/good as those ever in 2K (or any basketball video game). Secondly, you're missing the Atlanta Hawks.
Once I get to the trade deadline I normally say that any team that isn't within 4 or 5 games of the playoffs is likely sellers, everyone else is either buyers or standing pat.
As for trades:
Orlando - I'd imagine Ibaka is getting the hell out of dodge after a season that bad, so he would be first on my list to move, but anyone on Orlando (maybe with the exception of Gordon) would be fair game. Orlando probably would want to recoup the 1st they traded to get Ibaka, so Toronto, Boston, and Denver could be teams to look at. Especially, since I believe all of those teams have multiple 1st in the upcoming drafts. Honestly, I think Ibaka's value is a mid 1st, maybe a prospect and an expiring to match salaries.
Butler & Melo - I don't think I trade either one since their teams are in playoff positions.
Nurkic - Denver is playing so well, so I would almost hate to mess with a good thing. Denver as a whole is a hard team to make a move with because they have decent or young up-and-coming players at almost every position. The only move I could see for them is if they package some of their younger players and picks to bring in an All-Star.
Rudy Gay - I think teams like the Pelicans and Thunder could use him, maybe even the Clippers. A lottery protected 1st and either a prospect or matching salary should be enough for him, in my opinion.
Lastly, just to share what I do for trades is once I get to the deadline, it's a little time-consuming, but not too bad.. First, I decide who will likely be moved. Then I come up with a bunch of trades (usually 4-8) for that player that I think makes sense. I number each trade and use random.org to decide which trade I make in my MyLeague. If there's some I'm on the fence about trading I put them in a large pool of trades (usually around 100) and use random.org for those as well. I feel like that's the best way to keep things fair since I'm basically playing as the owner for all teams and don't want to favor one team over another.
Hopefully, some of this helps and you have an exciting trade deadline. Good luck.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

That's a great idea random. Org!! ... I just started a 36 team league (where I control every team, so I have total control, and rebrand every team!) I tried to be as fair and realistic as possible during the expansion draft (think I did great at fairness, cuz I can't decide what team I wanna use now!) ... but your suggestion for fair trades.... I will apply that to my league...thanks again!Recruiting 4 Pro-am Squad 4 #Ps4

I don't think the Wolves are trading Dunn midway into his first season after taking him #3 in the draft. They're trying to shop Rubio and give the job to Dunn.
If you want a PG you could probably do Okafor, Henderson, Rodriguez for Matthews, D Will, Brussino or Curry.

Kings will want some sort of value instead of simply letting him leave, and there would be several playoff caliber teams willing to fork over a draft pick/role player for his services.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Trade Discussion Thread
I just lost IT for 6-8 weeks 2 months before the deadline. I am tied with the Cavs for first in the East with a 31-12 record. I have signed Jack (before season), Hickson (1 month in), Acy (3 games ago) to 1 year deals. I have also traded for Ibaka (2 weeks ago) and Hollis Thompson (2 months ago). My roster now looks like this without IT:
Starters: Jack, Bradley, Crowder, Ibaka, Horford
Bench: Smart, Olynyk, Amir Johnson, Brown, Green, Rozier, Hickson, Thompson
RES: Thomas (Injured), Acy.
I am planning to run Jack/Smart as my PG with Rozier picking up a couple of mins. I signed Jack before opening night to run as backup PG and he did real well when I lost IT for 2 games earlier in the season. He has found a solid role and has thrived off of the bench for me. Rozier I couldn't get the hang of playing with and wanted a better rounded vet to run backup to IT. Smart has been playing well averaging 12 PPG with good defence off the bench and want to keep him in that role (while giving him extra mins now with IT out).
I am just trailing Green, Rozier and Thompson as my 1/2 off the bench due to the injury. I usually run 10/11 man rotations so currently I have Green and Rozier getting the mins. I have found Green to be streaky and sub Thompson when Green is off and I need a shooter.
With the All Star game coming in 2 weeks or so and then the deadline shortly after, I am looking to get a backup 1/2 who I can trust. So far, I have looked at Brogdon from Milwaukee. The Bucks are 7th in the East but have Brogdon on their block as he is only playing 12 mins. I looked at this deal:
Celtics get: Brogdon, Monroe, Novak, late 1st/early second
Bucks get: Johnson, Rozier, Green
Basically Johnson/Monroe are similar, but Monroe holds that 17 mil player option while Johnson is a FA and the Bucks could use that cap (hence why the pick is added). Rozier/Green gives the Bucks depth at PG/SG and I get Brogdon who will play with my rotation. Novak hasn't played so far this season and would remain on the bench for me.
Any thoughts? If Monroe picks up the option I have a starting big next year when Ibaka walks. This year he will come off the bench unless an injury to Horf/Ibaka where he would step in as starter.
If not, I am open to suggestions for a scoring 1/2 guard who could be attainable. I can post standings once I load up the game if anyone is interested.
