Oh good to know, I didn't know you couldn't trade back to back 1st rounders.

Do you have any suggestions for a trade then? Just trying to give T'Wolves the appropriate value to make things fair. I know it was once rumored Chicago was thinking about trading Jimmy Butler as Thibs really liked him. So was trying to find a comparable trade based on that.

That's still a tough 1 for me.... pretty sure twolves have Wiggins in mind for Thier future (unless it's to get Butler as you mentioned) and Philly is willing to trade Noel... but he was still a top draft pick....I don't have the rosters in front of me so just thinkin of draft picks....

76ers trade: Noel, '18 or '19 1st rd pk(top 3 protected) and an unprotected 2nd the following year (throw in an additional 2nd if you feel you need to) but I wouldn't give up a top 3 pick (Noel) and two 1st's for just Wiggins

..... but throw in LaVine (which wouldn't be realistic at all for Minnesota to trade Zack and Wiggins) .... then I'd trade off Noel two 1sts and two 2nds for the duo!

Hi guys, just done with my first season with the Spurs and would like to move Gasol. I got a few offers that I'm interested in. Btw I'm looking for realistic trades.

        Spurs:
        Kelly Oubre Jr.
        Marcin Gortat

        Wizards:
        Pau Gasol

        or

        Spurs:
        Myles Turner

        Pacers:
        Pau Gasol
        2018 1st round pick

        Anything that looks reasonable?

Or try something to get Jokic against Gasol and a pick?

Would a trade of Melo for Deng+ Randle be fair? (not talking realistic, but fair)

Lakers accelerate their process of rebuilding by having a lineup of DLO/Young/Ingram/Melo/Noel and bench of Chalmers/Clarkson/Larry Nance JR/Mozgod and a signing of Raul Zipser - young 3&D wing who got drafted by Bulls but never signed.

              Not really.

Deng is on a big contract and would risk being cut if it wasn't for that. Randle won't fill any holes in the Knicks squad. Should probably look into giving away some picks.

at the deadline now, Portland are sitting in 8th spot, fighting to hold that spot. Orlando are 10th and back buy about 6 games.

ORL Send: Serge Ibaka, Mario Hezonja (9.3 MPG, 2.8 PPG, 1.5 RPG, 0.6 APG)
POR Send: Allen Crabbe, Noah Vonleh (12.8 MPG, 3.5 PPG, 4.1 RPG, 0.4 BPG) , 2017 1st Rd Pick (CLE)

Portland get some defensive help down low and someone that needs a change of scenery in Hezonja. Ibaka has already said he will not resign in Orlando.

Orlando get a scorer in Crabbe that is locked up long term, a former lottery pick that can play some meaningful minutes and has a chance to grow in Vonleh as well as a 1st rd pick in the up coming stacked draft.

I would say that it's not realistic, but probably fair. In real life, I don't think that the Knicks get anything close to Randle's value. Him and KP aren't the best match, but I guess they could move KP to center. Taking on Deng sucks, but it's better than paying Melo if they really want to get rid of him. It's not my favorite trade, but I think it's fair.

The Washington trade looks good. The others (Turner and Jokic in your next post) aren't close.

Yeah, I plan to move KP to Center for Knicks and then they have two great potential big men one of which plays the C that can also shoot threes which makes room for Randle to buldoze his way to the rim and with other solid shooters in the team it could be a nice addition in rebuilding them. Also, would you make a change to the trade or something?

Really want to see more blockbuster trades. A team like Kings should be looking to move cousins before he leaves for free agency.

Re: NBA 2K17 Trade Discussion Thread

Made my final trade of the season. I picked up Rudy Gay, Kyle OQuinn in a 3 team deal with the Knicks and Kings. Both are bottom feeders in their conferences. Here is the deal:

                        Celtics get: Gay, O'Quinn
                        Celtics give: Crowder, Amir

                        Kings get Crowder, Johnson
                        Kings give Gay, Cayley-Stein

                        Knicks get WCS for OQuinn

It's an odd deal and obviously doesn't look good based on real life but things are different in my season.

Gay is putting up 21/6 in a good season. He has a player option next year worth 14 mil he's expected to decline. Crowder has been dealing with a concussion this year and only averaging 9.5 points. His shot has been way off this year but is younger and a nice player for the kings going forward. Kings also get some cap relief. I also got a presence down low off the bench in a slight upgrade in O'Quin. The Knicks get a younger, similar rated player with more potential for next season.

I really needed another scoring option. My starters now are IT4 (injured 4 weeks), Bradley, Gay, Ibaka and Horford. I feel I can compete with the Cavs for the east if everything goes to plan. Going all in this year.

I'd assume a Nick Young, Clarkson package would work and realistic enough. Probably have to throw Deng in there for contract match ups.

Off the top of my head, not sure if salaries match up but I'd go with

                            BKN get- Clarkson, Young, Deng
LAL get- Lopez + Lin or Lopez + Whitehead

I looked at last year and I believe there were 15 trades on that day. So anything around that id be happy.

You look at a lot, Lot of times I just look at guys who often times are part of rumors and put them on the "trade block" and see if teams offer anything. Almost NEVER take those trades, but they can start the building blocks for some trades. Look at records, and if teams are doing bad/can some of their core players who are older be traded away? (Almost never trade young guys who are getting quality minutes unless that position is back-logged). Its really all over the place, maybe try one blockbuster deal, then a bunch of randoms. What teams might want 3 point shooters if possible? Does any have too many of them etc. Usually that type of stuff happens second and third year. Look at expiring contracts or contracts with two years left that might want to be moved.

Basically...try to be an nba GM for multiple teams and completely over balance trades to one teams favor. Probably didn't answer anything to be honest .
