Re: NBA 2K17 Trade Discussion Thread

Hey thanks again for the input in the trade. I'm close to the deadline and think I might be on to a different option to go after the #1 pick. Boston is the #7 seed in the east right now. Chicago is #11 seed but pretty much out so probably would make sense for them to go into rebuild and revisit the Butler trade. Let me know what you think of this trade:

CHI trades: Butler, Lauvergne (throw in to make the numbers work), Robin Lopez (if they're rebuilding then moving his contract would be a big plus in my opinion)

CHI gets: Avery Bradley, Jae Crowder, Caris LeVert, '18 lottery protected NO 1st, '19 BKN unprotected 1st, Ezeli

BOS trades: Avery, Jae, '18 BKN unprotected 1st

    BOS gets: Butler

BKN trades: LeVert, Ezeli, '18 NO lottery protected 1st, '19 unprotected

BKN gets: Robin (eating the salary to sweeten the pot for CHI), BKN '18 unprotected 1st

Basically Chicago gets a boatload for Butler and gets to dump Robins contract, Boston gets their star to really compete with Cleveland, and I get the BKN pick back for a chance at the #1 pick and just hope they fall in my favor.

To me it seems more realistic to get the pick and hope the lottery works out than to go trade for the #1 pick when the top 2 guys in the draft are likely to be superstars.

I don't see much of a problem with this trade, other than maybe moving one of the lower pieces to Boston instead of Chicago. I would say put LeVert into Boston and add a pair of seconds from Boston, one to Chicago and one to Brooklyn. I feel that may be a little more balanced, but I would still be okay with the original trade as well.

I have LeVert going to Chicago bc I remember at the deadline hearing Chicago wanted 3 players out of Bradley, Crowder, Brown, Smart. So I figure Boston only gives up 2 of them and Chicago still gets a solid young SG/SF in LeVert (he's averaging 12 ppg for me this season).

Plus this would leave Boston with an extra roster space so they can sign another guy to fill whatever their biggest need is after the trade (although their team will be really stacked and have a good shot at taking out Cleveland).

Re: NBA 2K17 Trade Discussion Thread

Ok here's one to run by you guys. I'm picking up as the Grizzlies after year 1. They finished 7th in the West and got booted in round 1 of the playoffs, so I think it's time for a rebuild.

Going to move Conley and Gasol. I'll keep Parsons since nobody would want his contract given how he's played this year. My ideas are:

Conley and Deyonta Davis (just not a fan so tossing him in lol) to Bulls for 9th pick in draft, future lottery protected 1st, Rondo (who I'll immediately release). I've considered adding Jerian Grant in as well but not sure, but I don't think that makes or breaks the deal.

Should I drop the additional 1st and just take the #9, Rondo, Grant?

I figure teaming Conley up with Butler is a really nice core for the Bulls. Wade has 1 more year and then they'd have cap space to add another star and have a big 3 of their own.

Any other potential spots for Conley? The only other spots I could think of were Dallas or Denver.

For Marc I am thinking teaming him up with Pau in San Antonio. Not a big return given his contract and age, thinking Danny Green, Dedmon, future top 5 protected 1st.

Any other landing spots for Marc?

I think that's a good deal for both sides, but Young and Mickey being added isn't really necessary. Maybe pick one to keep in the deal so the Celtics aren't moving 4 guys for 1.

Follow up on my post before. I did these trades:

Conley, Deyonta to Bulls for Portis, #9 overall pick, Rondo

Marc and Tony Allen to Spurs for Green, Dedmon, future top 3 protected 1st

In need of an opinion for this as I don't know if I should or not:

Did start today with the 76ers just before the All-Star break and now up to the second season, Embiid keeps complaining and I'm going to trade him so someone give me some advice.

                    76ers Trade: Joel Embiid, 18 1st Round Pick (Mavs 25-19), 20 1st Round Pick (76ers Top 5 Protected), 21 1st Round Pick (76ers)
                    Warriors Trade: Draymond Green

                    Thanks heaps!

Also adding on to my above post was thinking of a trade with Indiana for PG13:

                      Pacers Trade: Paul George

                      76ers Trade: Joel Embiid, 20 1st Round Pick (76ers Top 5 Protected), 21 1st Round Pick (76ers)

Indiana wouldn't do this as they already have their center of the future in Myles Turner, and wouldn't want to end up in the same situation Philly was with too many young centers that should be starting.

As for your other one for Green, I don't know if the Warriors would do this as Green can play pretty much any position which is hard to find, but they would like those picks so that is a toss up.

Is there any realistic/fair trade for Karl Anthony-Towns OR Andrew Wiggins to the Celtics? Anyone and anything but IT is available. I could incorporate a third team to give the T-Wolves other pieces to make it work, again if there is a realistic/fair trade.

Not really. Two top 5 picks for a star?
