Seen one that was pretty decent and hard to stop once he was able to post up down low. Knew how to run high screen pick n rolls and even fake hand offs. Think that type of build is really team dependent as in everyone needs to be on the same page.

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
For sure. And that's been my problem. I never care about my win loss record so I just play with anyone, and most of the time I try setting picks, popping and rolling to the rim, trying to get a post game, it gets over looked in the park. Which I should've expected lol I just built what I wantedSent from my SM-G960U using TapatalkComment

If I'm open I'm good for about 50%, and if I'm in the corner with the badge it's a little better.
Makes my friends mad when they miss open 3s then I come back down and hit one lol

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
It's because they dont give us enough points for proam and park.
All grinders are in mycareer doing some stupid and boring method.
Wysłane z mojego Redmi 5 przy użyciu Tapatalka2k18 fixes
Bigs can cover to much ground on defense(they are too fast)
Late contest on laups matter too much.
Random blocks doing pumpfakes.
Leaning shots for guys who have catch and shoot badge should be removed.Comment

It was only 1 for me to get to 92 but I think maybe it’s different for every build.Comment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
Yeah, I figured if I'm at 91 and there's 36 upgrades left, that's my only route....
Seriously blows
I'm at the point where I'm pretty much badged out so my only method of grinding when without friends is career games or games with randoms, and NO THANKS to thatComment

What is the best all-around center or "big" build in your guys' opinions?Last edited by CaVsFaN2273; 10-06-2018, 11:47 AM.Comment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
I honestly play almost all my Rec games with randoms. Sometimes it’s terrible but sometimes it can be fun. I have a real hard time grinding mycareer. Usually I burn out around the All Star break and can only tolerate 1 game every day or two.Comment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
If you’re going Center, in the current meta, I would say Glass Cleaner or Rebounding Rim Protector. Scoring inside is atrocious so going Athletic Finisher or Post Scorer as a main is going to make it difficult to trigger your takeover. The nice thing about the defensive takeovers is all you need is rebounds, blocks and steals to build your bar up quickly. And once you trigger it, you might actually be able to score a couple buckets because it gives you more favourable animations.
I’m still holding out hope that there’s a way to fix inside scoring and the other archetypes will become viable but, for now that’s my advice.Comment

Stretch 4 is probably the best big build.

Unfortunately they are largely useless in rec where no one passes bigs the balls and the congested floor makes the glacial post move animations result in lots of turnovers. Also, as mentioned, the terrible inside layup animations/results.
Now all I see are stretch 4s/5s of various kinds and rebounders.
Even stretch 4s can suck if your side lacks any team play, as they are pretty easy to guard by most other archetypes if you have a motivated defender.
Post scoring bigs can work in park, especially if you play with guards who actually realize that. They are also pretty easy to level in mycareer.Comment
