Yeah the warriors are super gross this year.

I’m waiting for people to get out of the honeymoon hype stage where they think defense is great. It’s not lol.

My current strategy against the warriors is shoot 70-80%. It’s working so far, 0 losses to them lol.

The defense is a hit and miss. I can definitely tell that some thought went into the defense, and it's definitely a skill-based team defense that you must use. You really have to use the coaching settings to your advantage.

Truthfully, I really don't have that many complaints about 2K19 from a gameplay perspective. The frustration from the game is more with myself, because I feel like I'm a much better player than what my record shows. I NEVER had this much difficulty getting out of the first four levels. I normally don't hit the "skills" wall until the College level. Now, I know how those dudes feel who are used to playing on HOF every year, but have to drop to a lower level this year.

NBA 2K19 is like 2K11 on steroids. To quote Cookie Lyons from Empire: These streets are not for everybody. That's why they made sidewalks.

The Warriors and all of these users picking classic teams will be getting the dashboard. Wow! 2K what a great idea to mix it up like that.

Yeah there’s definitely more thought and ways to deal with the intermediate stuff defensively. It’s nice to see most of the settings work now.

But the extreme stuff that people always complained about is still there, and it’s made worse considering the other options are taken away.

example: Im playing a 2 man game and iso’ing more than ever now because passes are so iffy and easy to pick off. Possibly the most efficient offense I’ve ever ran in any game lol.

As a PNO community we have to come up with an idea of how they can tweak this mode to allow us to use which teams we want.

I’m talking about small tweak via patch (let’s be honest, they’re not going to overhaul the mode this season).

I’m thinking...... for example. Say I’m in JV league. I won both my tier 1 games, allow me to still be able to select that tier box and play that game BUT my JV record will not change, only my overall record.

That would work, guys that want to play the mode, rank up, get trophies, play different tiers can. Guys that don’t care and just want to play as “their team” can as well and have some sort win loss record being recorded.

What do you guys think ?

NBA 2K19 Play Now Online Thread

I keep shooting it late on almost 90% of my shots. In the meantime, my opponents are killing me for like 60 to 70% shooting. My shot selection is perfect, it's just the shooting percentage that's been my downfall.

Glad to know I’m not just tripping cause this is exactly what I’m going through. My opponents are literally shooting 60-70% against me the majority of the game. I can’t even count how many games my opponents starts of the game with 3-4 threes in a row. What also hurts is the timing feedback only shows late or early. It doesn’t include just late/early, so it’s hard to know how much you need to adjust your timing on jumpshots.

And just like you, I always breeze through the first few levels until I get to around NBA. My record so far is something like 12-11. I never claim to be the best at 2k but I started last year with 62-20 record using Orlando. I’m currently stuck in the league where you need 2 wins for each tier and I cant buy a win in tier 2. It’s always either my opponents abusing Giannis all game going or Washington’s entire team shooting the lights out. Wall was making fadeaway 3s against me last night.

Sucks that yall struggling with shooting because of what sounds like lag (its the reason I didnt play online from 2k11 to 2K15) I thought the vibration was a great mechanic to combat this and that it would be expanded on every year--but I havent seen the ability to turn it on this year.

Anybody having trouble getting matched with a game? I’m in the development league now so I’m not sure if it’s because there’s not as many people in the league which makes it harder for me to find a game

Just looking at the leaderboard numbers.....seems to be that those numbers are waaaaaaay down compared to last year or the the past 2 years.

Looks like forcing/restricting teams hasn’t worked like planned.

I hear you. I wish a Dev could give some input on this subject. I don't care about the why's anymore. We can all assume the why's. I just want to know if this can be changed or not. I'm trying to think of one game that had something similar. Most games have the traditional ranking system of progression levels and/or ranks.

IMHO, the only way that they could fix this is by adding a new unranked "mode".

I noticed that too. It seems like there should be 1-2 people in the GOAT level at this time. On the X-Box, I think the Top 3 levels are "empty", and the level below have less than 100 people.

It's hard to tell. I'm throwing wet noodles at the wall now, lol. I switched to Broadcast cam to see if that will yield better results. Obviously, I know that I'm at a disadvantage when it comes to defending fastbreaks, but the defense is a little bit better against that tactic with proper changes to the settings.
