I stopped doing it after like 3 days, lost a close game with the Sixers because my timing was off re: finding my plays because i'd been playing with so many teams. I REFUSE to be forced into playing with someone i'm not a fan of.

My workaround: Since record is meaningless this year I play 2-3 minutes, exit the game and rinse/repeat until the level resets itself.

I agree, and I might do that myself. I'm having a tough time getting out of JV, because I can't/won't master the other teams. However, I might go offline and play a season against the CPU for a while. I'm starting to believe that I'm getting exposed online now. Even with the Pacers, I seem to always have horrible shooting to start the game. Then, I'm running into some true dribble gods who are destroying me one on one.

The shooting might be more a result of me playing with other teams, and I'm not learning the rhythm of my team as quickly as I have done in the past.

All "complaining" aside, it's the best 2K game to date. It's a shame they decided to force people to play with other teams in PNO which I think is going to make it an unpopular mode this year. I might dabble in MyTeam and just create an All-Time Pacers team if the environment allows it.

For sure we all hit a wall sometimes. Like you said, get a season in and come back to it. But I def think playing with other teams/players hurts my timing so I get it. Give me the variety of playing any team...I dont care to control them, thanks.

And it definitely is the best 2K to date.

Now that's dedication.

I haven't gone back to PNO after one game due to everyone being able to hit almost every open shot like last year. They need to put this mode on HOF or at least give us lobbies for different difficulties. HOF plays much better than the other difficulties where everyone can nail open shots consistently on a game to game basis.

Steal spamming is annoying too but I can't take another year of non-shooters being a serious threat from outside. I shouldn't be killing opponents with Marcus Smart or worse, Ben Simmons, from outside.

No matter how much I practice offline, I can't get my shooting to translate over to the online game.

EDIT: I starting to believe that to the shot stick is calibrated for online use. It could be a placebo effect, but when I start using the button, the same shots that wasn't falling with suddenly falling with the same shot feedback.

I haven't played this yet, but do you still have to respect non shooters? Last year guys who shouldn't be making threes when given space were deadeye, I've been playing in MyCareer on HOF and it's hard to tell since the CPU wont shoot with a non shooter whereas a user will.

If any of you guys play against the Warriors just back out of the game unless you have the Warriors too. They are beyond ridiculous. You can't defend Curry, Durant, or Thompson. They can hit a three from anywhere after passing half court. Now that 2K has implemented hands up to contest you can't zig zag defending them and contest a shot. It's a pick-and-roll circus of 3's.

I’m waiting for people to get out of the honeymoon hype stage where they think defense is great. It’s not lol.

My current strategy against the warriors is shoot 70-80%. It’s working so far, 0 losses to them lol.

I consider myself good on defense, but I have to do this to stay on top against them. This game was within 3-6 points the entire way until the end.

Yeah, that's been my experience. I've been practicing hours offline to get the shooting down for the Pacers, but I keep shooting it late on almost 90% of my shots. In the meantime, my opponents are killing me for like 60 to 70% shooting. My shot selection is perfect, it's just the shooting percentage that's been my downfall. What's ironic, I actually shoot better with the Thunder then I do the Pacers, and I barely practice with the Thunder. Yeah different tier, but the Pacers actually got better shooters overall.

Mirror matches DO exist. I got raptors vs raptors tonight.....I happily dashboarded that matchup and searched again.
