I’m thinking...... for example. Say I’m in JV league. I won both my tier 1 games, allow me to still be able to select that tier box and play that game BUT my JV record will not change, only my overall record.

That would work, guys that want to play the mode, rank up, get trophies, play different tiers can. Guys that don’t care and just want to play as “their team” can as well and have some sort win loss record being recorded.

What do you guys think ?

How it should have been designed IMO.

Anybody having trouble getting matched with a game? I’m in the development league now so I’m not sure if it’s because there’s not as many people in the league which makes it harder for me to find a game

Just looking at the leaderboard numbers.....seems to be that those numbers are waaaaaaay down compared to last year or the the past 2 years.

Looks like forcing/restricting teams hasn’t worked like planned.

This + the fact that no one can find matches due to the ridiculous league/tier restrictions. I’m willing to play and can’t.

I can’t even find a match in other game modes now that they mixed everything up and added restrictions everywhere else as well. This is the most *literally* unplayable 2k ever

I keep forgetting that the Tier restrictions further divides the player pool. What's the required number of wins on the College level? This setup just reminded me of GOW if you wanted to do Co-op mode with an online player. Sometimes, I waited 10-15 waiting on someone who happened to need to complete the same chapter as of me.

Right now, all the "players" are clustered in the first 3 levels.

7 wins : 3 wins for tier 1 and 2 for the other 2.

That’s exactly how it is in the other game modes too. Finding a 5 on 5 rec center match requires 1 from every position in your region. It takes ages for this to happen, and it usually doesn’t even work for me.

It’s like 100x worse in this mode that already has a dying community.

Previous years I could at least wait in other modes until people caught up to my rank/league. Now I can’t do that either

If you’re in the college league or above (I’m in the development league) your hopes of finding games are slim to none. I got off work this morning, started searching for a game, went to sleep for about 3 hours and it was still searching when I woke up.

That’s because no one is in those leagues. 2k botched this up. They had an idea. It didn’t work.

A week and bit into it last year or previous years, people were already in goat and hundreds/thousands in the leagues below.

People don’t like the team restrictions......it’s not just us raptors, pacers, magic fans.

It’s all those bandwagon warriors players too. They don’t want to use tier 2 or tier 3 teams.....they’re not playing either.

This was a HUGE misstep on 2k’s part.....HUGE.

Patch it, fix it, unlock/remove the restrictions. Take the L, and make things right while it’s still fresh.

I consider myself good on defense, but I have to do this to stay on top against them. This game was within 3-6 points the entire way until the end.

Wow! I think that’s BS the score should be about 20 pts difference. How can you 2K allow this that his bench scores more than his bench and still only win by 10pts.

Lol that out of position stuff still happens but it’s primary/secondary position only. Can’t get into 6-8 man games like last year, has to be 10. Pro am is also 5 man teams only. I have to use unpopular positions to find a game.

Tried searching earlier for a match and no luck. Don’t know how people got up to development league lol

I was reviewing the stats too, and it feels like the game shouldn't have been that close. It's not like his opponent took advantage of the extra turnovers.

It did before, then it stopped counting. That was about to be my "solution" to avoid having to play with teams from other tiers. However, I have a suspicion that you have to earn above a certain letter grade to get the win to count as one of your required games. Haven't been able to test this theory yet.
