I hate the pausing in this game. In all these years they still can't make it like Madden where both players can make adjustments at the same time.

I don't get it either it seems quite random. I think it takes into account all penalities so 8 seconds back court, inbound 5 seconds but I do neither of those!

Used to happen to me in 2k18 randomly too. 2 fouls then that pops up and dude takes the win of course wtf. Thing is I can only recount once when it was the reverse and asked me instead cus dude was fouling all over the place. I took the win I was up and it boring playing against that fool and his fouls anyway.

I think it's a bug tbh.

Yes. I got a win like this as well. It’s not just fouls or violations. It’s like a combo stuff. Fouls, delay of games, pauses.

How's everyone adjusting? Also, I'm noticing that there are suddenly a lot of PNO YouTube creators. It's nice watching how other people play and what strategies they use.

I'm doing alright. couple of wins and loses but still trying to get that streak going. But as for PNO YouTube I been watching Vladd Wavy dude is funny in his videos.

Biggest adjustment is just trying to hold the freaking ball. These steal spamming players and ai are ridiculous. I get a clean steal then the ball gets stolen right back.

So I finally got the game and put some time into MyTeam and played my first PNO game with the Raptors vs Celtics. I won the game in double overtime (what are the chances my first game is that close). I shot 48% he/she shot 43%, neither of us did well from 3 which is surprising after being used to people shooting 40+% from 3 in '17 and '18.

I experienced the steal spam I was reading about from him. Kyrie had 6 steals, most of them being from interceptions after missed shots because spamming steal in that situation will let you fly through the air and catch the ball. Other players got their steals from spamming it whenever I got a rebound or in the back court trying to full court press me.

The blowbys don't work anymore against capable defenders. He had to rely on Tatum to score because I had Ibaka in (that was my mistake) guarding him and he was too slow to defend him in ISO. Kyrie got clamped by Lowry and Hayward got clamped by Kawhi (still feels weird acknowledging that Kawhi is on my team). After being up 12 going into the 4th, he goes on a ridiculous 10-0 run capped off by a backcourt strip from Kyrie on Vanvleet and an and-1 layup. Brought my starters back and it was a close game the rest of the way.

I know people are memeing that defence is overpowering, but I felt it wasn't. I was able to easily take Kyrie off the dribble with Lowry (granted, the guy kept trying to steal from me) and Kawhi could easily body Hayward out of the way.

I'm impressed so far. Still haven't faced high rated players yet so idk if they break the game or not.

I’m actually getting the hang of it better now. Got a little 6 game streakgoing had To utilize the tips for my defense n a few plays with some freelances and things are smoother. Still on the fence with the shot contest logic tho. The lag makes it much harder to guard up the whole play on ball and efficiently contest but I like the challenge.

NBA 2K19 Play Now Online Thread

Okay, I'm getting way better playing the game, but I'm still having problems hitting the open jumpers. Learning three to four freelances is becoming a pleasant surprise, because I'm able to switch between them based on situation.

The flip push video from ervgotti and the 21 delay videos from czar helped me out tremendously. I also ate my pride and turned shot meter on under my feet. I still think something is funny with shooting but I can adjust better with it on now.

I also have been doubling the Giannis and Wall types on the drive with a little success. Some of these dudes know Giannis is OP and try to abuse him.

Just had Shaq hit a couple 3’s on me. I can’t do it anymore. Wish we had an option for Casual and Sim. The launch and stab you in the eye and you react like you just been hit with a 12gauge has made its way back. Along with the easy 2 for the jump ball man at the beginning of the game because his defender always lags behind. Along with not being able to play with your team the whole time, im gonna officially throw in the towel in this one.

I started out something like 90-10 last year now I'm 11-10 lol. Lag and spam steals makes it hard for me especially the lower tiers where I'm unfamiliar with how to use the players. Bradley Beal and Wall are fun to use though.

Spam steals are even worse than last year. They turn the ball over then start mashing steal but this year they will jump foward and grab it out of the air. Great if you are good a timing steals against offensive sets but it's a little to easy compared to last year where it was near impossible.

You can tell who's mashing buttons too because some plays you just think no way that could've happened unless mashing....

Still haven't played the dubs lol If you dominate someone in tier 1 you get moved to tier 2 after 1 win. But that happened last year too, I didn't have to win 10 games in the lower leagues which was great.

Why exactly are the 71 Bucks in tier 3? And why does Oscar Robertson have such a high three point rating, how is it a guy who never made a three in his career be given an 80 three point rating.

The two things are based in the same system--the same ability to rip over-dribbling empowers spamming steal after a rebound/turnover. Even worse, there are so many benign outcomes combined with 5 min quarters they rarely have to worry about foul trouble.
