Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the meter being off and if we're forced to see others, Im glad there's incentive to move away from the reliance on the meter. (Not sure who Mike's kidding tho, he created this monster and its here to stay)

What I dont like is, if its to incentivize people to turn it off, why be penalized harder for a mistimed release?

I also can already see the Ben Simmons Gr33nz because his animation is easy and the meters off.

Can I have my NBA Simulation back?

Can anyone confirm that attribute ratings are still in the game?

If an excellent release is already a 100 percent guaranteed make then how is there going to be a shot percentage boost? Does he mean the green window will be bigger?

I would use it but punishing me for being off doesn't seem worth it. Maybe in the my player modes where I only need to learn 1 player's release but in 5 on 5 modes where I have to use 5-10 different releases, I don't think I'll bother with it.

Noticed the words "pro gamer setting". In my eyes, this was the hardcore mode/option that I wanted in PNO for those who don't like the shot meter. This would instantly be my mode of choice if I'm not forced to use different teams to advance ala NBA 2K19. If he implements the locking of green releases above a certain contest, then this will force players to create and take the best shot available.

Wang also confirmed that if the meter is off, everyone will still see the green glow when you time it even without the meter.

I’m really excited for 2K20, but all of the stuff they’re doing with the shot meter sounds absolutely atrocious.

Is not having the shot meter on the “high risk” he’s referring to? If that’s the case Ima get a lot of high rewards because I’m used to never having the shot meter on. I guess this would possibly make myself more likely to cash out. Unless I have this misunderstood.

My educated guess would be...

1) The green release window would be slightly bigger.
2) But the bigger window is not a big deal if green releases are locked passed a certain contest level.
3) If you mistime the shot, then you can chalk it up as a miss for the most part, but I wouldn't think the game would be that unforgiving.
4) Distance plays into the quality of the shot, so we shouldn't be seeing anymore Enes Kanter 3's .

In ML and MLO against sim users and CPU teams made up of NBA players, I want the players playing like themselves. And this HUUUGE % BOOST Mike Wang makes the already existent problem of players playing well above their ratings due to badges and animations even worse.

Sounds like if you mistime it, you have less of a chance of it going in than those that use the meter

This is obviously a plus to users who use shot timing. Using the shot meter is a crutch but you're complaining about players playing above their ratings as if ratings are not arbitrary anyway.

It sounds like you just can't stop people from scoring on YOU and that is nobody elses problem but YOURS. You need to get better at the game. Go practice and learn how to defend. Play myteam to truly learn what a contested shot is in 2k19 and when you begin to win more games, I guarantee you will read this post and be like, what was I thinking.

Don't blame Mike Wang for your lack there of when it comes to executing the games mechianics improperly. This bigger green window for non shot meter users is an excellent addition to the game so don't try to make it anymore than that.

Just get better at the game. Read these threads and realize that you may not be as good as you believe you are. It's not a diss but you and a lot of other people need reality checks instead of just coming on these threads complaining about your lack of skills

When you start to think this much into the game, you're missing the entire point of playing a video game. The game is to be played for enjoyment and not to think of it as a math problem. This ain't school and playing the game shouldn't be perceived as homework. Just play the game and if you have true knowledge of the game of basketball, you have a better chance of winning
