Re: Mike Wang tweets about 2K20
This social media age has really spoiled y'all. I actually miss the days where you couldn't communicate with the devs and just receive the product on release date. What you see is what you get.
Maybe a lot of you guys would be more appreciative of this game. Majority of these threads just consist of people venting about their insecurities of the game and mask it with complaints about Mike Wang and the dev staff. No, you just suck at the game so deal with it. Go practice.Comment

When you start to think this much into the game, you're missing the entire point of playing a video game. The game is to be played for enjoyment and not to think of it as a math problem. This ain't school and playing the game shouldn't be perceived as homework. Just play the game and if you have true knowledge of the game of basketball, you have a better chance of winningMLB: Minnesota Twins

Re: Mike Wang tweets about 2K20
And yet most of this board prefers to play this way, using strategy and generally just playing basketball. It's definitely not "homework" but, to the contrary, for me personally (and a lot of the others who play this way) this aspect of the game is usually the best part. I love being able to strategize and match wits with the opponent and try to come up with the best plays/schemes to counter what he's doing. It's enjoyable for many.
I never thought I'd see people bashing others for prioritizing strategic elements in 2K. It's fine to just want mindless arcade gameplay, but I don't think that was the original intent of this franchise. They didn't develop all these playbooks and schemes for nothing.Comment

I don't want to see complaints about a game where a lot of the changes are geared towards peer vs peer play. If you playing against the A.I., just pause the game and adjust the sliders.Comment

Yea, I understand that a lot of people on this board are like that. It seems like a lot of people on this board play most of their games vs the A.I. Newsflash: most play against human opponents.

Re: Mike Wang tweets about 2K20
I'm conflicted. Usually I would say something about the complaints but it's the only way for the thread to stay alive till Mike actually tweets something about the game lol
If there is some news coming today hopefully Mike can fill in on whatever is going to be posted today.
Threads can fall to the 2nd or 3rd page and be resurrected. They don't all have to be a shanty town of arguing. I don't like having to wade through 300 posts of BS to find 2-3 actual tweets.
But such is life here on the 2k board. No thread can be left untouched without someone chiming into complain. Usually I refrain from off-topic posting but I mean this thread is a lost cause at this point and it was literally 10 posts in.Last edited by BA2929; 08-07-2019, 10:57 PM."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment

Re: Mike Wang tweets about 2K20
Ah, the ole' if you dont like something it's cause you don't know how to play comment. Classic.
Not sure how you made that olympic long jump leap there but I'm talking about both sides here, how ratings will be even further overridden than they already are for both bad shooters and good shooters. Never did I remotely allude to the game being too hard or too easy.
I'm not sure if you're saying that ratings shouldn't matter or that they don't, but I think most people agree that they should, particularly when playing with NBA teams.
But since you were able to determine I don't know how to play from reading my one post and you must obviously do, tell me, would me "getting better at the game" be to set Ben Simmons defensive off ball coverage to tight since my Philly opponent now has a "huge % boost" to Ben Simmons 3 point shooting regardless of his open 3 point rating?
Badges and in this case specifically, animations are what matter and thats ok right?
And I swear some of ya'll love to complain about someone complaining. Been here a long time son, and I'm aloud to express my frustration with the direction of a certain element of a franchise that I've been playing for 20 years. If that's ok with you of course.
And despite making my own sliders every year, you just must be more of an expert than me. Please tell me what slider it is you use to make all shooting animations have the same chance of achieving an excellent release relative to their ratings.
I like what 2k is trying to do with meters and shot releases, it's a video game and should be treated as such.
If I didn't want meters, I'd play outside.Comment
