Re: Mike Wang tweets about 2K20
Threads can fall to the 2nd or 3rd page and be resurrected. They don't all have to be a shanty town of arguing. I don't like having to wade through 300 posts of BS to find 2-3 actual tweets.
But such is life here on the 2k board. No thread can be left untouched without someone chiming into complain. Usually I refrain from off-topic posting but I mean this thread is a lost cause at this point and it was literally 10 posts in.
I'm down since the simnation thread didn't necessarily do the job either.

Yo everybody chill out lol. We can have both sides, simnation and online players, discuss and debate peacefully. I know most people here are mature enough to be able to do that. You guys think it's bad here you should see reddit. Those people make us look like saints lol. I think it's important for everyone to have their voice heard so long as you're reasonable and provide logic behind your thoughts. No reason to go back and forth on every issue.Comment

The elbow push really felt out of place. I don't show the takeover icons so I often was wondering how do I trigger such a move and why it isn't a clear foul lol. Glad it's been taken care of.Comment

Re: Mike Wang tweets about 2K20
Nah. vni. If you dont use it they wont see it. They only see what you see.
1. I hate greens. Worst addition ever.
2. I hate the shot meter. 2nd worst addition ever.
3. I think the release should be good or bad. If you release late it should be short rim. If you release early it should be long.
4. If people want to use the "arcade" shot meter then everyone should be able to see it.
5. Hopefully, now that your meter is on full display it will discourage people from using it.
6. Why should the shooter be the only one who knows that his shot is going in?
3. I really dislike the emphasis on shot timing. I understand the need for user skill/input, but good shooters are good shooters. Their timing is consistent unless under duress. If we're going for realism, user release timing should have the least amount of impact, maybe a 5-10% bonus/penalty.
4. If the meter is in and folks use it for timing, I don't see the need for everyone to see it, but...
5. Agreed, but...
6. The shooter is the only one that knows how the shot felt leaving his hand.
Just let bad ball handlers lose control of the ball when they over dribble. Most dribble moves are not very fatiguing. These are primed conditioned athletes. 6 dribble moves is not tiring anyone out.
This social media age has really spoiled y'all. I actually miss the days where you couldn't communicate with the devs and just receive the product on release date. What you see is what you get.
Maybe a lot of you guys would be more appreciative of this game. Majority of these threads just consist of people venting about their insecurities of the game and mask it with complaints about Mike Wang and the dev staff. No, you just suck at the game so deal with it. Go practice.Shout out to The Watcher! Where you at bruh?Comment

Re: Mike Wang tweets about 2K20
"They were combined into a single Deadeye badge. Pretty much same function as last year... reduces defensive impact on late closeouts, but now it works from any range"
Mike Wang answering question about morphing Deep and Mid Range into one badge.
My concern is that poor three point shooter has a Silver or Gold Deadeye badge, I hope that this badge wouldn't help him shoot a good clip from 3. Like if you have a PF who has a solid mid range game but not necessarily a good 3pt game, I wouldn't want them to shoot near 40% because they get contested 3sComment

Re: Mike Wang tweets about 2K20
This is what I've been saying for awhile now. I think there's plenty of room for people who want a realistic simulation AND people who just want to have fun and hit some shots. All I want from 2K is to give us the tools to enjoy either play style online without having to jump through hoops.
What about those of us that want simulation in online modes like Rec and ProAm.
I say make the park as arcadey as park players want, but Rec and ProAm need to be simulation.
I get extremely board playing the AI and want the competition of 5v5 all users. To me it brings in more realism because people aren’t programmed and make mental mistakes and great plays that you don’t get with AI.
PRoAm for sure has to as sim as any other mode, Rec can be a bit more relaxed like playing pick up ball at a gym, and park can be a cheese fest of epic proportions.
Put park on pro, rec on all star, and ProAm on hall of fame. Then remove most cheese from rec, all cheese from ProAm, and leave it all for park.
By cheese I don’t just mean dribble moves, suck in screens, and half court shots, but the shot meter, green releases, badges, and boosts.

No and even then there’s still plenty of cheese in the 2k League.

Make Park tuned for street ball, allowing flashy plays on offense and defense. They could implement something along the lines of a Summer Pick Up League or And 1 Tour for people that want to play 5v5 with a crew in that style.
Make Rec like an actual Rec League,a more organized and fundamental approach(i.e.more sim) than Park but not as high level as Pro-Am.Again, implement a literal Rec League for people who want play with a crew in this style.
Pro-Am should be for players wanting to simulate real organized ball on at least a semi professional level. The current Pro Am League would transition to being for this play style.
2K could still promote events and tournaments for all 3 "Leagues", thus exposing the product to fans of all different styles with an experience they might enjoy.Comment
