Re: Official NBA 2K7 Playbook Thread...
That's an interesting thought about the Pistons playbook now that Chris Webber is on board. In fact, there are playbooks for other teams that could use it as well, like the Nuggets since they now have AI (and 76ers since they don't have either player), etc.
I'll likely revise some things and post it whenever I get the chance.

Re: Official NBA 2K7 Playbook Thread...
Do any of you guys know what play it is that the CPU always runs when they have a scoring PF? From what I can see the PF runs out to the wing for a catch and shoot and it's pretty much money. If you double him he passes back to whoever passed it to him.[NYK|DAL|VT]

It's likely "Pop and Clear PF". The CPU loves calling that play for some odd reason.

Re: Official NBA 2K7 Playbook Thread...
Muchas Gracias. Maybe I'll put that one into my Wizards playbook for Jamison because it seems pretty easy and I have a hard time running plays for him on the perimeter because by default, all CPU PFs and Cs run straight to the block.[NYK|DAL|VT]

PF screen is great for the Wiz too. Its simple to run and run that with Arenas and Jamison and pick people apartComment

Re: Official NBA 2K7 Playbook Thread...
So r we going to adjust team sliders in detail like post play for the pistons and fastbreaks 4 teams that actually do run the break since we're fixing playbooks they should go nearly hand in hand.XBox 1 and 360

Re: Official NBA 2K7 Playbook Thread...
I don't know about needing to adjust team sliders and such. You would have to ask those who are using the selected plays now while playing through the Association or Season this question because I personally don't play either mode. I won't be able to give you an accurate answer on how adjusting team sliders affect calling plays.

Re: Official Playbook thread...
On to the Knicks. Here's my preferred starting lineup:
PG - Stephon Marbury
SG - Jamal Crawford
SF - Quentin Richardson
PF - Channing Frye
C - Eddy Curry
I don't about other Knicks users, but I kicked Jalen Rose and Maurice Taylor off the roster, kind of like what has happend in real life. I have Q-Rich starting in Rose's place. Yeah I could have Steve Francis starting as 2 guard, but I prefer to have Jamal Crawford here instead because he can shoot better. Now for the plays:
PF Screen (1-4 High set)
Knicks users must include this play in their playbook arsenal for Stephon Marbury, as he can be really deadly in it if used properly. Check the Sonics section for an explanation of this play.
PG Reversal (1-4 High set)
This is another play for Steph. First, Steph passes the ball off the Richardson on the sideline, then Richardson passes the rock to Crawford once he moves near the top of the key. Crawford then gives the ball back to Steph who moves to the the opposite side of the court from Richardson. Steph has the option of taking his man one-on-one. Or he can hit Richardson at the elbow area as Richardson moves past a double screen set by Frye and Crawford at the FT line. (This play was formerly known as "Double High SF" in past NBA/CH 2K games.)
Low Double Option (Baseline 1 set)
This is a Post play for Eddy Curry. Now I know what Knicks users are thinking. "What the Eddy Curry doing with a play? He sucks in the post in this game." While Curry can't be a dominant player on the low block, it's still good to throw him a bone in the post every once in a while so the defense can't just ignore him. In this play Steph passes the ball to Q-Rich standing on the sideline behind the arc, then Q-Rich gets the ball to Curry on the block.
High Rub PG-PF (Triangle 6 set)
Check the Pistons section for a rundown of this play. It's a really good play that involves Steph and Frye.
High Rub SG-C (Triangle 1 set)
A play almost identical to "High Rub PG-PF" instead Steph gives the ball to Crawford and Crawford gets the screen from Curry. Seconds later Curry dives to the basket, so Crawford has the option of passing the ball to him like they would be completing a P&R play.
SG Option C (Triangle 1 set)
Check the Sonics section for a description of this play. Crawford's J is no joke in this game. He can also drive and finish well.
SG Take (Motion 1 set)
An Isolation play for Crawford. He has really good one-on-one skills so it's a good idea to take advantage of it.
Inside Out SF-C (Baseline 1 set)
This play is almost identical to "Low Double Option" with the difference being that Curry can kick the ball back out to Q-Rich and then try to re-post if desired. It would be a good idea to alternate between these plays to keep the defense off-guard.

Don't know why some Knick users hate this playbook. The 'SG Take', 'SG Option C' and 'High Rub SG-C' are great for Crawford(and Francis coming off the bench).Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K7 Playbook Thread...
Okay, here we go with revisions.
Now keep in mind that with the exception of the 76ers (which I'll get on this team in detail later), these revised playbook lists are not intended to be a substitute for the list of favorite plays I had mentioned before. What I'll do here is list additional plays that can be ran for players who have recently arrived on the team due to trades or buyouts, etc.
First, I'll start off with the Pistons. Starting lineup:
PG - Chauncey Billups
SG - Richard Hamilton
SF - Tayshaun Prince
PF - Rasheed Wallace
C - Chris Webber
The most obvious starting five to have on the floor for a team as there is in the league. Put C-Webb in for Nazr and it's all set. As for a few plays to accommodate the new guy:
High Rub PG-C (Baseline 1 set)
A Screen play involving Billups and C-Webb which takes place at the top of the key. A good thing to do would be to alternate the use of this play with the Screen play from before, "High Rub PG-PF".
Shuffle Rub C (Motion 3 set)
This play is designed to get C-Webb the ball near the basket without the need for him to post up. This play can be alternated with either of the Post plays mentioned before, such as "Power Play PF" and "Pick Roll Forwards". Check the Suns section for a description of this one.
Block to Block C (Motion 1 set)
This is a Post play for C-Webb that has him moving from one side of the paint to the other before getting the ball from Tay. This play can also be alternated with the already-mentioned Post plays. The Cavaliers section has an explanation of this play.
C Double Screen (Triangle 3 set)
This is a similar to "Shuffle Rub C" as this play is set to get C-Webb the ball inside near the basket without him needing to establish position in the post. This is another good one to alternate with the Post plays listed in the original edition. The Nuggets section has more on how this play is executed.
