Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

4-0 after a game against the Sonics. Was close for 3 and a half quaters and I somehow won by 20 in the end. Had a lot of blocks. Chris Paul didn't get going for them and Josh Smith injured David West when trying to block a shot. Durant beasted again of course. 38 points,7 rebounds,3 assists,2 steals and a block.

Maynor got injured the last game, thought he'd be able to play but he wasn't good enough so I swung a deal for Lin from the Warriors with some of the extra players I had.

      Absolutely, positively AWFUL.

Cavs (29 game season). I am off to a grueling 0-8 start. Just miserable playing with this team. No offense whatsoever.

I cannot wait to put a stick of dynamite to the organization in the off-season.

            Heres my newest Knicks lineup

            PG: Stephen Curry
            SG: Landry Fields
            SF: Carmelo Anthony
            PF: Kevin Love
            C: Amare Stoudemire

I made some trades because I needed some big men. I traded Raymond Felton, Ronny Turiaf, Roger Mason and 2011 First Round Pick. Our record is now 11-0 following the big win over Rockets.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

                  Finally started my first Association...
I wanted to play with Blake Griffin but I dont care for the Clippers as an organization so I started one with the Bulls.

                  It gets messy after that...
Simulated the first season and the Bulls only managed a 7th seed and were knocked out in the first round by the Heat.

I dont see the core of Boozer, Noah and Rose ever winning a championship so I made some tough decisions in the offseason.
I really like Joakim Noah but to build the team I wanted he had to go.
Traded Noah, Boozer and 2 1st round picks to the Clippers for Blake, Baron Davis and a 2nd rounder. Then got rid of Davis contract and a 2nd rounder for a future 1st from the TWolves
(TWolves have potential so that pick might not be as high as expected
plus we all know they love stockpiling PGs lol)
Then traded Luol Deng for Serge Ibaka and BJ Mullens.
(Unrealistic I know but still pretty even in regards to the players involved)
Opened up 28 million in cap space in hopes of landing Melo and my plan turned for the worst when he decided to sign with the Warriors.
Melo ruined my idea of Chicago's own big three so I had to do alot of patchwork to keep fthe Bulls from being a lottery team.
I overpaid for DeAndre Jordan to pry him from the Clippers as he was a restricted free agent but I think he will be a good project.
Also signed: K. Azubuike, T. Chandler, M. Pietrus, Jamal Crawford, and Carlos Delfino.
Improved Blake and D. Jordans Inside Defense in Training Camp.
Traded T. Gibson, Azubuike(FA), Korver and the TWolves 1st rounder for Jeff Green and Aldrich. Then moved Aldrich, Delfino(FA), a 2nd rounder and Asik for Bayless and Kleiza. I got both those trades from Trade Finder and thought they were pretty fair.
Ended up with this depth chart:

                  PG: D. Rose/Jerryd Bayless
                  SG:Ja. Crawford(FA)/Ronnie Brewer
                  SF:Jeff Green/M. Pietrus(FA)/L. Kleiza
                  PF:Blake Griffin/Ibaka/J. Johnson
                  C:Tyson Chandler(FA)/Deandre Jordan(FA)/Mullens

Its going to be tough to win a championship in the next season or two with this roster since Melo didnt sign but I think it turned out pretty good.

This lineup is pretty good, having Bayless as a backup PG, he has potential. Your Pf is pretty good and Ibaka a very good shot blocker, Tyson Chandler, good rebounder.

The Heat are playing the Knicks in round one of the playoffs.

Game One - Heat 112 Knicks 100 - Lebron scores 38, Wade scores 28 (first game back since back injury and he is still hurt, but battling through)

Game Two - Knicks 94 Heat 92 - Amare hits game winner with 1.5 ticks left. The Heat blow a 9 point 4th quarter lead.

The series shifts to the Big Apple for 3 in a row

The other notable upset taking place is the Bucks have jumped out to a 2-0 series lead over the 2nd seeded Boston Celtics.

I just dont like my SF situation. I like Jeff Green and his versatility but he is not the ball handler that I desire at the 3. He was my best option with the players I was willing to give up. Other than that I like the mix of shooting and defense I have on the wings. Rose is really the only guy I have that can penetrate consistently though. I still cant believe Melo didnt sign. I gave him a player option and a no trade clause.

To be honest, I've never touched Association. It seems to be the biggest mode compared to My Player and the Jordan stuff though.

I'm playing on the Wizards and will trade to the Knicks at the end of my third season in My Player.

I most likely will put Jordan on the Charlotte Bobcats in Create a Legend.

So for Association I think I want to rebuild the Cavs, make a championship team out of them. So I'll gladly take any advice from anyone about Association. Don't want to make any mistakes!

I wouldnt go that far... Green hasnt had the chance to play the 3 much in OKC with Durant around. Pietrus is far too inconsistent to start ahead of Green IMO. Do you think Wilson Chandler, Nicolas Batum or Trevor Ariza would be better options at the 3 than Jeff Green? None of those guys are really better ball handlers than Green though.
All were options I found in Trade Finder. I really like Trade Finder its a great tool. Though sometimes it seems like the cpu is ripping itself off or trying to rip you off!
