I sense a little hate. Yeah Im the guy that traded for Blake and went after Melo in my Bulls association in my 2nd season. I picked the Bulls because I like Rose and thought they had the fair pieces to give up for Blake Griffin w/o losing their main guy. In turn, I had enough cap space to go after Melo who was a F/A. My so called unrealistic plan even backfired on me. Melo signed with the Warriors. That was realistic eh? You never know what a GM or player might do in this league. Bad moves and surprisingly good moves happen all the time. Excuse me for sharing my revamped roster that Im going to have a blast playing with on my 360 videogame called NBA 2K11. You gotta love message boards.

There's no hate or animosity here, these guys just like to control their association with a similar sort of ethos.
I like to take my time and build a team up gradually and realistically through drafts, free agent markets, and controlling a team financially. If you wish to trade for a superstar straight up, because you like his game that's fine. But certain franchise guys just won't get traded IRL unless their morale is really messed up!.

If you made cap space to make a run at Melo, as the bulls in free agency, then i think that's realistic, you could even try a sign and trade with Denver, that was an old rumor IRL.

I don't know about you, but i post on these boards to garner opinion on the moves I've made. Its good to have feedback, appreciate it OS.

Well I actually re-started my Association with the Bulls and simmed all the way up until Carlos Boozer returned from injury on December 1st. I really didn't want to, but I would've been forever catching up in the season since I don't play the game a whole lot. Well doing so, my Bulls are now 8-12 after a dogfight with the Cavs. Rose is leading the league in scoring with 33.5 ppg.

My question though is how should I set up the in-task functions for the other teams? i.e. Lineup changes, prospect scouting, simulation strategy, etc. I have everything set to "OFF" for my Bulls and everything set to "ON" for the other 29 teams, except for Lineup changes which is set to "OFF" because I wanted the season to start off somewhat realistic as far as NBA rotations go and injuries up until mid-December. I also turned off CPU trading up until the big trade that went down with the Magic, Suns and Wizards. But now I'm thinking about just letting every cpu team work on their own and do what they please. Is this a good idea?

Well, I decided to start an association with the 76ers and do a fantasy draft. Here is my line-up.

PF: Charlie Villanueva, Nick Collison

I totally respect someone who is willing to put that much time into an association. It takes alot of playtime, thought and patience to do that. I wish I had the time to go through that many seasons. I dont so Id rather do one or two seasons with guys I like. Its almost New Years and this is actually my first Association and I thought Id share it. Granted I made alot of moves but I didnt cheat any team in the process and actually lost out when Melo didnt sign with me. I had to make alot of the moves because of my pursuit of Melo. Ill gladly keep my association to myself if it irks so many people the way I run my association. The biggest thing that frustrates me is that I think my reasoning was actually very realistic. Just didnt know if I could pull it off. The Bulls probably will never be better than the likes of Miami or Orlando with the same core they have now so I made some wholesale changes with the free agency of Melo in mind. Much like many teams did with Lebron last year.
I post here for feedback and opinion as well, but most of all to past time at work when Im bored. OS has been the most mature community Ive been around since I joined but, it comments like those that make me second guess even posting on a message board. Some people take this sh** far too seriously. Excuse me for having fun and wanting to share my supposedly unrealistic 2K11 video game experience.

I don't give a damn what you do, I was just stating my opinion. I just find that having a roster full of the best players in the league remove all of the competition for me. There's something fulfilling to me when I win a game with Brandon Bass and Ronny Turiaf being my frontcourt and having Bill Walker play extended minutes. Playing with LeBron, Wade & Bosh wouldn't give me that fulfillment.

i wouldnt take that. lee is an undersized pf and you would be losing a solid center with probably more upside.

8-1 in my Jazz Association.

Just won 103-100 in Orlando where Rashard Lewis missed a game tying 3 pointer. After a day off we headed to Atlanta and blew the doors off of the arena. Usually Deron Williams drops about 30 a game, but lately he's been struggling to get 20. I'm really trying to spread the ball around and get Raja Bell and Kirilenko.

Anyways - in Atlanta the starters sat for half the 3rd quarter. and the entire 4th quarter. Gordon Haywood led all scores with 21. Williams was 1 assist away from a double-double.

Currently 2nd in the West as the Lakers are 9-0. Finishing up my road trip with Charlotte.
