Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I got Amare back finally, which is great. He got injured at a horrible time in the schedule; I had like 9 or 10 games in 2 weeks. Worked out well, though. I only lost once to the Sixers, because apparently Iggy is as good of a shooter as Ray Allen. They were killing me with their screen game, too. But anyway, Amare's back, so I'm keeping Bass @ PF and starting Amare @ C. Bill Walker, Sean Williams & Roger Mason have requested trades, but I probably won't trade them. I like using Walker for little spurts.Comment

I usually leave my playcalling on Auto, but I'll intervene if a particular player is cold...I'll start picking plays for anyone else but him.
How do you do it?Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Quick question: How do you determine who you are running plays for? I mean do you select a few PG plays (maybe some pick n rolls), then select a few SG plays, then a few PF plays? Or do you just base it on who is shooting well and who is shooting cold at the time?

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I run more for the better scorers (Wall, Young, Blatche) and will do a lot of pick 'n' rolls too. And yeah, if a player is cold I'll look to sub them out and usually don't give them the same amount of plays. But also, I just like to roam a lot. For a good portion, I don't run any plays and PnR and Isolations.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Can anyone tell me the settings that they used for Association?
Like Season Length, if they have the D-League Games on, Team Chemistry, Player Roles (which is a hassle to me), Fantasy Draft etc.You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
NFL: New York Giants
NCAA: Ohio State Buckeyes
NBA: New York KnicksComment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Anyway, back to my BUCKS association...
trade deadline 2 weeks away
I deliberated on a trade for an ailing Brandon Roy, decided ultimatley not to pull the trigger. I'm 25-20 ATM in my second season, and have just pulled of a couple moves to help improve my future cap situation.
I acquired Thaddeus Young last off-season on a 4yr $36mil deal, hes been playing out of his mind, leading the league in threes, so i want to keep him on. Plus I have to re-sign Brandon Jennings next off-season,
trade 1:
CHA recieve:
Maggette(75, 2yrs/$21.19m)
MIL recieve:
Boris Diaw(69, 1yr/$9.00m)
reasoning: Bobcats are 30-17, 4th in the east, Diaw was unhappy with his role behind Tyrus Thomas. They take on an extra year and $10mil in coreys contract for a legit scoring option(cats only have henderson, jackson, on the wing), so they can make push into the playoffs.
trade 2:
ORL recieve:
D.Gooden(70, 4yrs/$26.24m)
Malcolm Delaney(54, 1yr/$473k)
(rookie second rounder, acquired from Mavs in Dooling, Ilaysova, Barea deal)
MIL recieve:
C.Duhon(68, 3yrs/$11.06m)
Q.Richardson(67, 2yrs/$5.07m)
reasoning:I loved Gooden but 6mil a year for 4 years was too dear. Plus this frees up space for Sanders at PF. Q-Rich can come of the bench, or fill in during injuries. Orl get a solid C who can score in the block, rebound and defend when Dwight is out, a backup big they've need since the Gortat trade.
overview:
I save $22mil over 4 years. btw, stole ORL trade idea of realgm bucks forum.
Will have $12mil free cap next off-season(not including draft picks, plus we remain in playoff contention).
Lineup at trade deadline:
Jennings/Barea/Duhon
Salmons/T.Allen/M.Daniels/
Young/MbMoute/Q.Richardson
Diaw/Sanders/Brockman
Bogut/D.JordanValanciunas is still getting preped in D-League

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I'm prepared to let him walk in the offseason unless I can get him for dirt cheap. Wall went down with an injury, so I'll bring him off the bench and start Hinrich; hope he starts producing.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I had durability, injury frequency, and injury severity at 50 for about 8 games...no injures.
Now durability:48, injury frequency:51, and injury severity:52...I have seen 4 injuries in my past 3 games. Ray Allen, Zach Randolph, Andray Blatche, and John Wall. Allen and Blatche are out; Randolph and Wall are hurt.Purdue Boilermakers
