Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Started out with the Kings, made a few interesting trades involving me bringing Jameer Nelson and Mikael Pietrus in for '11 first round pick and Carl Landry. Also got J.R Smith for '12 first round pick. I will be looking to trade for one of those picks back at a later date. I'm 8-3 at the moment and my team is looking like this

    PG Nelson
    SG Evans
    SF Pietrus
    PF Thompson
    C Cousins

    J.R Smith at 6th man

Looking to build round Cousins and Evans and possibly use Nelson as trade bait in a couple of seasons.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I took control of the Timberwolves and I promptly blew the team up. No player (with the exception of Jeff Foster) is over the age of 25. Here are the trades I made:

      Timberwolves get:
      2011 1st round pick

      Clippers get:
      PG Luke Ridnour
      PG Sebastian Telfair

      and...

      Timberwolves get:
      C Jeff Foster

      Pacers get:
      C Darko Milicic
      2012 2nd round pick

Basically, I got rid of any long term money deals (except Telfair who had an expiring contract). Foster has an expiring deal, but I could bring him back if I can sign him cheap. He's a really good rebounder. I'm going to sim the first year and get to the off-season and then most likely play all games from there on out.

        My hawks:

After a game one loss to Memphis, made the big trade in which I think Hawks should of done.

Traded away Bibby and 3 others to Trailblazers for Oden and Mills and 2 others. This got me a big man and allowed me to move Horford to PF.

Since trade I am 5-1, 5-2 overall. Just lost to Suns at home in a shootout. Got Magic next.

This game is freaking awesome for me, playing default pro simulation, using player real % and had great and realistic stat games.

2 thumbs up for this game!!!

I'm the Wizards, HOF, 12 minute quarters, adjusted sliders. I traded Gilbert Arenas, 2 picks, and Trevor Book for Al Jefferson and another player. Traded Andray Blatche and Hilton Armstrong for J.J Hickson and a 1st round pick. Currently 4-1. Got dominated by Orlando in the season opener and have turned it around with 4 straight wins. Trying to ship Al Thornton though, isn't producing for me. John Wall is straight up beasting, average a double-double. Al Jefferson just got injured in my last game vs the Cavs.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Started my Nets Association. I'm hoping to make the playoffs and get Devin Harris or Terrence Williams to be Most Improved Player.

            Rotation is
            Harris/Farmar
Morrow/Williams(Williams is the better player, but I play whoever's not missing shots)
            Outlaw/James
            Murphy/Favors
            Lopez/Petro

So far, I played 2 games(Pistons and Kings). Ended up winning both due to monster games by Brook Lopez. He's averaging 21 and 15. Harris averaging 19 and 9, Terrence Williams with 12, 5, and 5 and Derrick Favors with 9, 9, and 3.

            Not too bad.

I might go on a 5 game losing streak though.. Miami's up next, with Orlando after, and Miami again.

Outlaw has been horrible for me, Murphy's been meh. If Melo ends up being traded IRL, I'll try to make him unhappy and offer something along the lines of Harris/Outlaw or Murphy/Outlaw and picks..

Any tip on what might be the most fun challenge? Bobcats or Knicks?

I did one season with my NYK just to mess around and now i want to do a more serious association...

You must be a TMac fan to give up a young stud with good potential who plays great D and shoots the 3 well and a first round pick for old man McGrady?

Running with the suns. They have lots of depth and plenty of players to use as trade bait if I decide to make any during the season. I signed Earl Watson as a backup point because I'll probably trade Dragic for help up front. Just won the season opener against the Blazers 105-98. Looking like a decent team.....

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Started an association with the Miami Heat and I am currently 17-0, and I've played every game on 12 minute quarters. Playing 82 games is a lot of playing, but it's fun! Might make a deadline day deal just to shake things up a bit too. Here's my current stats, all are estimated.

                    LeBron: 30 PPG, 8 RPG, 7 APG, 3 BPG
                    Wade: 22 PPG, 4 RPG, 3 APG, 2 SPG
                    Bosh: 19 PPG, 15 RPG, 1 APG, 1 BPG
                    Chalmers: 7 PPG, 2 RPG, 3 APG, 3 SPG
                    Miller: 11 PPG, 3 RPG, 2 APG
                    Anthony: 4 PPG, 8 RPG, 1 BPG
                    House: 7 PPG, 1 RPG, 1 APG, 1 SPG
                    Arroyo: 2 PPG, 1 RPG, 1 APG
                    Illgauskas: 2 PPG, 4 RPG, 1 APG
                    Haslem: 5 PPG, 4 RPG, 1 BPG

Other people have been switching from inactive to active and haven't played every game so their stats don't really count. Go Heat! :P

Portland blew me out by 20, didn't win a game until Memphis. Im 1-4. lol Hows Hedo doing for you? I traded him for jj hickson and moon(doesn't play). JJ does a really good job in the PnR for me. Dragic is the man!

I played Hedo about 15 mins (12 min quarters). He played alright, gave me about 7 points. I'm leaning towards trading him because I really don't need em with Childress,Hill,Richardson, etc. I might go ahead and play Dragic next game and see what he does. Believe it or not Warrick came thru with 30 in that game against Portland. However, I know that probably won't ever be happening again thus the reason for me about to trade Hedo for a tough pf that can run the floor. (Frye played weak!)

Yeah warrick can do some damage at times, but he's very inconsistent. The CPU teams aren't to high on hedo, the best deal I saw was for Hickson. You can probably get speights for him, but I felt I'd create a logjam for them. Hickson is giving me about 15 and 8.

Through 4 games I am 2-2. Dirk is avg'ing 31 and 12, and Caron and Marion are avg'ing 18 and 15 respectively. Roddy Beaubois is a very nice piece, and he's avg'ing 11 off the bench for me...shooting very well from 3 too.
Won my 5th game....a home victory over Denver to wrap up a home and home w/ the Nuggets. Dirk finished w/ 31 and 19, 2 dimes, 2 blocks, and 2 steals. Kidd had a dub-dub, Butler was in double figures, Marion in double figures, Beaubois in double figures too, and the Mavs piled it on to the tunr of a 32-pt defeat over the Nuggets.

Carmelo led the way for Denver in scoring, but was doubled all game long and only scored 19 pts on 9-30 shooting. Next up is Boston...hope to push my home record to 4-0. My BIGs will be tested though as Haywood is still OUT, and Mahinmi now is DTD w/ an ankle. Tyson Chandler will get the start again, and Alexis Ajinca will come off the I/R to back him up.

Should be interesting to try and defend the paint against Shaq, Jermaine O'Neal, and KG.....
