I haven't done a trade yet, but after seeing how bad Heinrich has been shooting to start the season I may pull the trigger for Lee just to get some production. Lee wants out of Houston anyway, as it seems he rarely see's any minutes.

Blatche has a really nice mid-range jumper and it's how I score most of his points. If I'm not running the High Post play for Blatche, I can usually get him free open looks by penetrating with Wall and kicking it out for the open shot. Also, since Blatche is pretty athletic he can get pretty good separation from the High Post for either an open jumper or a drive to the basket. He also has a nice fadeaway jumper from the Post which is another way he can score. Basically don't be shy to shoot the ball with Blatche as he has deadly mid-range game.

Now as for Arenas, while I'm not a fan, I still feel he is one heck of a scorer when healthy. Even though he's off to a slow start in my Association, there have been plenty of games where he has come up big when we needed him most. Arenas still has that big play ability, which is why I've decided to keep him for now. However, that's not to say I won't consider shipping him as the season progresses. Also, I really enjoy having two guards (Heinrich and Arenas) that are able to play both on and off the ball with success. Both can be really good scorers, but still run the point if needed.
I would not make the deal for Bledsoe, but it would have its benefits. Few teams have have a defender to stop Wall's penetration, even fewer have 2 guys quick enough in the backcourt to contain both.

I cannot score with Heinrich either. The only reason I am keeping him is because he is a great defender and easily my best. I am thinking he will prove his worth against the likes of Wade.

I can understand why you are holding on to Arenas. I traded him for a 1st and Emeka Okafor. And while it has improved my team defense my offense is severely lacking. I signed Iverson hoping his production would make up for Gil's departure, but so far that is not working. I can pull a deal to bring in Carter, but I am holding off on that for integrity reasons (signing AI just to trade him).

For whatever reason Blatche's shots are not falling for me. I tried to get him involved the way you explained but met little success.

I just beat the Bobcats recently. I needed the win in order to avoid a losing skid. They are relatively easy to beat if you can cut off the drives by Jackson and Wallace and Heinrich did a damn good job doing that. I have also been without Thornton since the 3rd game and will miss him for another few weeks due to injury, I miss his production off the bench. I was having success posting up smaller forwards with him. And I also have not been doing well with Young. He has had spurts where he would hit shots, but he is a huge defensive liability.

I'm running with my Celtics again the year.

      Starting 5
      PG- Rondo
      SG- Allen
      SF- Pierce
      PF- Garnett
      C- Perkins

      Bench
      6th man- PG- N.Robinson
      PG- D.West
      SG- M.Daniels
      PF- G.Davis
      PF/C- J.O'Neal
      C- S.O'Neal
      PG- A.Bradley
      Res- SG- V.Wafer
      Res- PF- B.Scalabrine

I'm currently sitting at 3-2 five games into the season.
My losses have been and OT loss to Miami the first game of the season and to the Knicks
My wins have came against Cleveland, Detroit and Milwaukee. The Cleveland and Detroit wins came pretty easily. But, the win against the Bucks was a hard fought game in which I battled back from 19 and ended up winning on a Rondo dunk with .2 seconds left.

Looking ahead my schedule, thing's aren't getting any easier. Of my next opponents- Chicago, Ok City, Dallas, Miami and Memphis- 4 of the 5 made the playoffs in 2009. So we really need to step ours games up in order and try to stay above .500 during this stretch.

Other notes: Shaq went down with a sprained ankle in the second game of the season and is out for 4-6 weeks. Also, Delonte is already unhappy with his playing time so, we may have to either get him some more time on the court or look to move him. We're in the market for a backup SF so perhaps I can find a deal for him out there somewhere.

Yeah, Heinrich is easily my best defender as well. He is such a nice lock-down defender and seems to always have a knack for getting clutch steals. As for your struggles with Blatche, I say keep shooting. Much like my struggles with Arenas and Howard, they're certainly in a cold spell, but I know their shots will fall with consistency eventually.

So far I just can't string together any win streaks. I ended last night with Chicago blowing us out by 20, even with Boozer exiting the game in the 1st. The thing that seems to be killing us is missed FT's (lost two games due to not being able to make FT's late) and missing wide open perimeter shots. I've been running some really good sets to get Heinrich, Arenas, and Howard good looks, but neither have been able to capitalize on their open looks.

I lost to the bulls also 84-77. Shut down Rose for 3 quarters but in the 4th he decides to start driving and taking apart my defense. Finished with 16 and 7, most of which came in that 4th. I have to get my offense going.

I'm hoping for an easy win against the Raptors because the next day we got Boston. If I can give my guys extra rest against the Raptors fatigue should not be a issue against the Celtics like it was against the Bulls. These back to backs can really hurt you if you don't plan for them.

I don´t remember all my trades, but got Oden for Cousin.I won my first game against Utah and with quite big margin.Deron Williams was really poor.He didn´t attack the basket and only had about 3-4 shots in the whole game.Oden was player of the game and he really dominated the glass and low post.He shot 9 of 11.My next game is against Golden State and hope to win.
Anyone knows what to change that star players will attack mroe and play like they do in real life?
Wait wait, you traded DeMarcus Cousins for Greg Oden? The same injury prone Greg Oden who you could have picked up for cheap in free agency?

DeMarcus Cousins, your first round draft pick with all the potential in the world?

For Greg Oden? To each his own I guess.

So true. That's something I really love about 2k's Association mode. Season progressive fatigue is what really makes the "team managing" aspect of the game mode realistic.

I'm biting at the chops for this Raptors game as well. I really feel like we're going to put in on them offensively. It'll finally feel good to play a team that will actually have a hard time keeping up with us, where as so far it has been the other way around. I definitely fear the Boston game as well, because so far they're tied with the best record in the East (Side note: Heat 4-6 lol, still early though, but I love it).

Also as it stands, I gave Orlando they're only loss of the season thus far. Which feels kinda good to say early on in the year. However, whatever magic we had offensively that game I can't seem to get back. Even though I'm scoring well with Wall and Blatche, the other core guys aren't putting up their typical numbers.

I've also seen an interesting Pistons trade which happened a few weeks back. Seems like the Wolves are trying to make a push and traded Wayne Ellington to the Pistons for Richard Hamilton. Looks like the Pistons are looking to dump contracts and since the Wolves have room, they decided to make a run at a playoff spot.

Yeah i really like Oden and he is doing superb job in my game.I still have hope in him and i just love how he dunks the ball with two hands, like Howard.

Played the Heat. Surprisingly, I was leading by 5 at the half.

Once the second half started, it went downhill. Ended up being down 15, but only losing by 10. LeBron had 37, Wade with 30, and Bosh with 22.

Devin Harris was hot, but it wasn't good enough since Brook Lopez was having an off day offensively.

Next up is the Bobcats, then Magic, then Heat, then Magic again.

I might start My Player though.

It's just tough to match up scoring wise with elite teams like that. The only thing you can hope for is either an off night shooting wise, play lights out defensively, or get guys in foul trouble. All of which are very hard to do against top teams, especially one with three allstars such as the Heat. Either one of their players has the ability to score every time down the court, which just makes it so much harder defensively.

Seems like it doesn't get much easier either. The Bobcats could be a win, but if Jackson or Wallace get hot, look out.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I'm simming it and did fantasy draft but so far my team is 23-10.

I managed to get the Thunders 1st pick for mine(Thunder are battling for 8th spot in west while I'm top 2 in east, though funny thing is that Heat are still #1 despite it being fantasy draft and lebron, wade are in the west)

                        My starting 5:

                        PG-D.Williams
                        SG-K.Martin
                        SF-AK47
                        PF-J.Green
                        C-M.Okur

Williams is dominating the NBA as he has more votes for ASG than any other player. Martin is doing real well too. My team is full of shooters yet my shooting % sucks(though my team does have the best defense in the league). What sucks is that I chose Raptors as my team but I never knew even with fantasy draft that you keep your coaches. So I'm stuck with a bad coaching staff for 2 seasons since the raptors are over the limit for staff salary. My team desperately needs a good big man.

Decided for the Bobcats after some thought and made some good changes overall.

                          Traded:

Dampier and DJ for Arenas ()

Nice starting 5 you got there...who's ur 6th man tho? IMO, I'd make David West as my 6th man to provide the scoring off the bench. You got plenty of scoring with Jackson, Wallace, and Arenas already.

                              Game Two Cavs at Raptors

I was losing the whole game until I got my first lead in the fourth quarter. Mo Williams had 20 points in the second half to go along with his 8 assist. I really like playing with Ramon Sessions. He had 17 points coming off the bench. Varejao had 6 points and 7 rebounds and the player of the game Antwan Jamison had 21 points 5 rebounds and 3 assist

One thing that is killing my team is turnovers. I had 11 this game. My team got to the line 17 times which is pretty good I think,

Rolling with the Timberwolves to see if I can get this young squad in contention for playoffs soon. I didn't do any FA signing or trading, so have their regular Roster.

                                Starting 5(Season stats thru 3gms)

                                Gm 1- Beat Kings @ home 95-86

Gm 2- Lost @ home vs Bucks 94-86<---Maggette dropped 31 on me at 14-20 from the field! Wesley Johnson had a breakout game with 32pts(career high) in the loss.

Gm 3- Lost @ Grizzlies 122-119<--- OJ Mayo went off for 38pts at 16-21 from the field! Rudy Gay had 27 for them as well... For me, Love led team with 28pts, Beasley with 25pts and 11reb off the bench, and Johnson had 23pts. Flynn finished with 13pts 12 assists.

Gm 4- Is next @ Miami! I'm not too confident going in, but maybe with Webster in the starting lineup I can get a little more scoring at SG now. Miami is 2-2 going in, with me at 1-2, good luck to me! haha
