Dealing with injuries 8 games into my firs season with the Heat.
Mike Miller played game one, strained his bak...sat out over a week, comes back strains it again.
Dwayne Wade in a blowout win over the Jazz bruised his hip and is playing through it, but (this game is so amazing) has a noticeable limp. I set his minutes back to 20 a game to limit his chance of hurting himself further. Well my home game against the Celtics resulted in a 12 point loss (after a 1 point win opening night at Boston) with Lebron scoring 37 but Bosh really had a rough game( his first bad outing of the season)...and Wade limited by his bruised hip.
5-3 record.
What a huge difference when you have the big three vs the Big two. You get into an rhythm with your starting 5 and when you get a monkey wrench thrown in like these 2 injuries you have to adjust. Lebron almost pulled this game off as we cut the lead to 1 in the 4th (with just under 4 minutes left)...but we just could not contain Rondo (I normally have Wade all over him) and he was driving at will, hitting lay ups, dishing out to Allen and Pierce. Plus KG was drawing fouls as well as Allen and Pierce. The variety I am seeing through 8 games is nothing short of amazing.
LOVE THIS GAME.
