I did this because I was paying 50mil for a guy that was doing the same as my back up Center who I was paying only 2mil for and I don't think Joakim is 25times more productive so I sent him packing brought in someone who does the same thing and is more athletic and so much cheaper. I went from being 9mil over the cap till 9mil under the cap so I can resign a few players next year

The Wizards pick will be top 5 and the rookie has B+ potential so its not like the got some slouch

    Is it fair?
Don't like the trade for the Thunder. If you are using up to date rosters, this leaves Collison as the starting PF. This is not a good thing for a team that is already a contender and looking to win. They take a huge step backwards with this deal.

Sorry forgot to mention, They have got Bargnani starting at the 4 spot and Ben Wallace backing him up.

OKC is deep enough in the front court then to absorb the loss of Ibaka, especially if that means landing a Top 5 pick

Alright, here is a trade I am considering

I am looking to bring Jeff Green back to OKC. I wish I could straight up trade Maynor for Green but its not within the range contract wise. Do you think the Celtics would go for this trade?

        Boston Gets: E.Maynor, N.Collison, '12 1st OKC
        OKC Gets: J.Green

Any thoughts on this trade or possible trades to make this happen? I am playing with OKC and have yet to make a single trade. I currently have Ibaka and Collison at PF so upgrading would be nice.

Jeff Green is supposed to be PP replacement and for them to give him up for a back up pg, a bench warmer and a really low first rounder. I don't know if they'd give him for that cheap

Alright, that is a good rating. Thanks for the feed back!

I ended up making this trade:

            Boston Gets: Nate Robinson, '12 1st OKC, '11 2nd OKC, '12 2nd OKC
OKC Gets: Jeff Green, '11 1st Boston

I may go back and swap Azibukie for a bench warmer. That way they could be gambling on him to replace Peirce but adding another gun to their back court. Aside from the Peirce replacing, swapping Green and Nate seems to be trading front court dept for back court dept which could happen.

Side Note: Green is the real deal off the bench. I scored 13 with him in very limited action as he plays behind Durant and Ibaka. He threw it down all game long. I may run more lineups with Ibaka at C and Green at PF. Perkins tires faster and once that happens he is not very efficient.

This is a really good trade give you props of being sim and not trading superstars. As for the trade the picks really make this equal

Thanks for the feed back, yeah I can't stand guys swapping superstars all around to where everyone is on a completely different team, it just isn't fun to me unless it is realistic.

With 3 PGs left even after giving up Nate, this trade has really made my team stronger. We just smashed a Griffin-less Clipper squad 119-93. Green had 13 off the bench. We have Portland on the schedule next. I will look to get Green some more minutes in that one.

There's a reason Boston gave up Nate Robinson, they don't want him. I don't see the sense of Boston trading Jeff Green (whom they consider to be one of their future building blocks and Paul Pierce's eventual successor which is putting way to much praise on Green) to get back a guy they practically threw at the Thunder. If you're going to make a trade it honestly doesn't make any sense to trade for a guy a team willingly gave up. Jeff Green was never part of the plan for the future as OKC keyed in on Ibaka more or less being the future PF (and for good reason in his defense). Boston doesn't want Nate Robinson the trade just isn't realistic.

I see your point. I guess I am just high on Green as a 6th man off the bench. Who would be a better move to get Green from Boston?

Well for one you're better off without him but that's besides the point. Boston offered Green a qualifying offer before the lockout so if you wan to be realistic the only way you'd get him is through free agency. OKC can't afford Westbrook, Durant, Green, Ibaka, Harden, and Perkins. You'd be better suited going after a somewhat decent or competent player who won't mess up your dynamic or team hierarchy. Green isn't going to be the kind of complement you want, he isn't a star but Boston definitely doesn't want to lose a member of their future core post Big Three so easily.

                        Thunder: Jeff Green/Kristic or Murphy

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread

Looking for opinions & believability ratings on the following trades thanks gentlemen, essentially I'm looking at replacing:

My starting SG - I cannot get on with Harden at all and I just don't have the confidence in Thabo as a strong starter.

My starting PF - Looking to move Ibaka to C and a more offensive able replacement at PF. I find Perkins lack of offense a real hinderance and am happy to sacrifice the defensive abilities. I prefer to try and outscore the opponents, rather than trying to keep it tight.

My backup PG and SF. As with Harden I've not been able to get anything out of Maynor or Robinson and Cook got traded away. My play style seems to suit Teague when I've used him and Weems is a reliable backup for SF.

OKC receives: Weems, Raptors 1st Round Pick 2011
Toronto receive: Maynor/Robinson, Thunder 2nd Round Pick 2011

                          OKC receives: Love, Johnson
Minnesota receives: Harden, Perkins, 2nd Round pick 2012, 2nd round pick 2011

                          OKC receive: Teague
                          Atlanta receive: Maynor/Robinson

                          OKC receive: Favours
                          Utah Receive: Perkins, Robinson/Maynor, 2nd round pick 2011, 2nd round pick 2012

I'm happy to offload the players above and I also have acquired Beaubois in a roundabout way and now I really don't have any need for him, I find he gets easily overwhelmed in defence. I'm really looking to recruit young players and am happy to recruit potential rather then immediate starters as I do have role players to fill the gaps for a couple of seasons so any suggestions for other possible trade options appreciated if you think these lack that certain something...

I absolutely will not trade Westbrook, KD, Serge, Thabo or Aldrich. Anyone else is fair game!

                          Thanks for your time guys,

What are your thoughts on this trade?

Bobcats Get: A. Aminu, Moe Williams
Clippers Get: DJ Augistine, Boris Diaw

Really with this trade, the Bobcats address by far their biggest hole. They get a young wing who has a lot of potential. They add Moe Williams' contract which is 8.5mill with a player option.

This trade shows the beginning of a new PG taking over in LA. Both E.Bledsoe and DJ Augistine have potential so they will have a year to both go at it and see who will take the reigns. Worst case for LA, both Boris and DJ are expirings so they can take over 12mill off the books this off season.

Thoughts? Does either team deserve a pick? I feel like Charlotte is deserving of one considering they gave up a quality player, and took on a potential 2 yr contract in Moe.
