I just started an association with the sixers. I got offered this trade from Memphis.

    Sixers receive:

    Rudy Gay (85 ovr) SF
    Sleights (68 ovr) PF

    Grizzlies receive:

    Iguodala (86 ovr) SF
    Young (75ovr) SF

The reason why I'm interested in this trade is because I think Rudy gay is a very good player. He may be better than iguodala, plus Rudy gay is
Younger. The only problem with this trade is I am losing 2 SF's.

Thoughts on this trade in my association.

I've decided to be the Spurs. Due to them being old and soon to be a rebuilding project. Duncan has retired. Ginobili is in his last season. I have players(international) on my dleague squad.

I'm basically going to sim 2011-12 season and start 2012-13 season as a new owner and will force Gregg Popovich out as coach.

      Spurs
      Tony Parker to Grizzles

      Grizzles
Josh Selby and 2012 1st Round pick to Spurs
      O.J. Mayo to Pacers

      Pacers
2012 or 13 1st Round Pick to Spurs

I simmed the first season making sure that the correct teams made the playoffs, the correct teams made it to the conference finals, and that Dallas won the championship. I also made sure the five worst teams were correct as well. I'm currently going through the offseason process, using online sources to make the correct resigning and draft the correct players. I'm gonna be taking over the Orlando Magic and I was originally just going to trade Howard and start a complete rebuilding process in Orlando, but I am starting to rethink that idea and maybe try to find away to compete and convince Howard to stay. I thought of a trade Idea and wanted to know what everyone thought. So here it is:

        Magic receive:
        Monta Ellis(from Warriors)
        Steve Nash (from Suns)

        Warriors receive:
        Marcin Gortat (Suns)
        1st round pick (Magic)
        Jason Richardson (Magic)

        Suns receive:
        Future 2nd round pick (Magic)
        Jameer Nelson (Magic)
Hedo Turkoglu or Justin Harper (Magic)

Also financially I have no idea if this would work, this was just off my head.
the suns would be getting robbed though I like the idea of the warriors getting gortat, maybe have it just between the suns and warriors. Gortat and chilldress (bad contract) for ellis.

The Suns and Warriors dont get enough back. Without giving up Dwight, The Magic just don't have the assets to get both. I am trying to figure out a way to get either/or. Ideas I am considering right now (would appreciate comments about realism). I have actually done this trade but have not played a game on it. I have a backup save file. Thoughts?

          Magic receive:
          Steve Nash
          Hakim Warrick
          Suns 2012 Second Round Pick

          Suns Receive:
          JJ Reddick
          Glen Davis
          Jameer Nelson
          Magic 2013 First Round Pick

I also played around with some Monta Ellis scenarios, my best being:

          Magic Receive:
          Monta Ellis
          Andris Bierdrins

          Warriors Receive:
          Glen Davis
          Jason Richardson
          Magic 2012 First Round Pick
          Jameer Nelson

To do both, it would need to be something like:

          Magic Receive:
          Monta Ellis
          Andris Biedrins
          Steve Nash
          Josh Childress

          Suns Receive:
          Jameer Nelson
          Jason Richardson
          Justin Harper
          Magic 2013 1st

          Warriors Receive:
          Ryan Anderson
          JJ Redick
          DeAndre Liggins
          Magic 2012 1st
          Magic 2012 2nd
          Suns 2013 2nd

          Thoughts on that?

                Ryan Anderson

                DeAndre Liggins
                Magic 2012 1st
                Magic 2012 2nd
                Suns 2013 2nd

                Thoughts on that?
Well my opinion on the trade is that the Warriors are not gonna make any kind of trade that gives up Monta Ellis unless they obtain a big man in some way and the Magic can't give them that without giving up Howard. As for the Suns, they are entering a rebuilding phase and they might not get exactly what they think Nash is worth in return but I think with the respect that they have for Nash and the fact that they wan't whats best with him, they will trade him next to nothing for him to have a chance to be on a winning team. The Suns also are gonna want to clear cap space and obtain draft picks. So I think the best trade scenario would be something like this:

                Magic Receive:
                Monta Ellis (From Warriors)
                Andris Biedrins (from Warriors)
                Steve Nash (From Suns)
Josh Childress (From Suns, clears cap space)

                Suns Receive:
Jameer Nelson (From Magic, helps fill in for Nash)
DeAndre Liggins (From Magic, young developmental player)
Justin Harper (From Magic, young developmental player)
                Magic 2013 1st
                Warriors 2012 2nd

                Warriors Receive:
Ryan Anderson (From Magic, good 3 point shooter)
Jason Richardson (From Magic, helps fill in for Ellis)
Marcin Gortat (From Suns, Rebound machine)
                Magic 2012 1st
                Magic 2012 2nd
                Magic 2013 2nd

With this trade the Warriors receive the big man that can fight for the boards and score inside, while also being able to defend the post compared to who they currently have. The Suns on the other hand obtain two draft picks, two young developmental players that can actually become starters if they do end up developing. They also receive a point guard to help minimize the loss of Nash and free up some salary cap space for the future. The Magic obtain the two assets needed to hopefully keep Howard around as well as taking on a really bad contract in Josh Childress. In real life the Suns wouldn't get a whole lot back for Nash as he's aging and he will be retiring in a year or two, so I think for the Suns the trade is fair. I think with the Warriors, the question is whether or not what they get is enough for Ellis, which with the draft picks and Gortat I think yes.

In the off-season, I did this trade:

                  Timberwolves receive:
                  #1 Overall Pick 2012
                  Andray Blatche
                  Javale McGee
                  Trevor Booker

                  Wizards receive:
                  Kevin Love
                  #9 Overall Pick 2012

I don't know if the T'Wolves would trade Love like that, but I think both teams benefit.

The T'Wolves' starting lineup is now:
                  PG- Ricky Rubio
                  SG- Wesley Johnson
                  SF- Derrick Williams
                  PF- Andray Blatche
                  C- Nikola Pekovic

They have Harrison Barnes (#1 pick), McGee, Booker, Randolph, etc. coming off the bench.

                  My lineup is now:
                  PG- John Wall
                  SG- Nick Young
                  SF- Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (#4 pick)
                  PF- Kevin Love
                  C- Andre Drummond (#9 pick)

I have Alonzo Gee (FA), Jordan Crawford, Tristan Thompson (Rashard Lewis trade), Shelvin Mack, Ronny Turiaf, Chris Singleton, and Christian Eyenga coming off the bench.

                  Thoughts?

UNREALISTIC! Barnes wouldn't go number 1! Davis is going number 1! Hes the next KG but more D and less O.

As I want to start new Lakers campaign I want to make some realistic and fair trades that were mentioned in the real life..

So my first assigment would be getting a Point Guard...

                    Cavs get: Blake and Morris
                    Lakers get: Sessions

                    OR

                    Lakers get: Calderon
                    Raptors get: Artest, Blake, Ebanks

Knicks get: Ebanks and some picks if needed
                    Lakers get: Davis

                    And..........how to get Beasley?

I agree that Davis will go #1, but I have no control over who they picked and it has nothing to do with the trade I made.

Ok sorry I wasn't being serious and I guess sometimes on the internet sarcasm doesn't always work. I agree it had nothing to do with your trade, but occasionaly a thread like this could use some humor. Too bad my attempt failed miserably, but in turn someone may find humor in my failures, which then I would still recieve the same effect as I was aiming for. Which would pose the question of whether or not I actually failed?

Ok that may be too much for a video game sports forum, I'm at work and bored, what do you expect? lol

                          Thunder(Me)
                          Aaron Afflalo 71 1star
'12 1st via Cavaliers (Currently #4 in the lottery) 3 stars

                          Timberwolves:
                          Michael Beasley 79 3 1/2 stars

Not sure how fair or realistic it is because the timberwolves are starting to move out of their rebuilding stage and into a competitive stage. But I don't think Beasley will be a part of this process. Afflalo has a bad contract on my association something like 4 years at 30mil. Beasley is on a 1 year deal for around the same. Its in online association so the computer hasnt made a decision yet.

My roster currently after a few moves throughout the season is very solid with or without beasley he would just really give me an excellent 6th man. Not that he would want that but this isnt real life lol.

                          PG- Westbrook 88
                          SG- George 77
                          SF- Durant 93
                          PF- IBLOCKA 74
                          C - Hibbert 78

                          6- Teague 74
                          7- Gortat 73
                          8- Dudley 72
                          9- Afflalo 71
                          10- Pryzbilla 64
                          11- Meeks 65
                          12- Vucevic 57

Not here looking for a pat on the back, I know its easy to cheat the computer on trades. Just wondering if I am ripping them off here on this trade, not that it matters because if they accept and it survives vetting it wont matter. Just curious

How is this trade? I'm the Celtics and wanted to rebuild, but not around Rondo (Evans, Martin, and go after D12 in FA).

                            Boston gets:

Tyreke Evans, SAC '12 1st, Kevin Martin, Terrence Williams, Hasheem Thabeet

                            Sacramento gets:

                            Rajon Rondo, Avery Bradley

                            Houston gets:

                            Paul Pierce, Brandon Bass

I know the HOU trade is a little bit more unrealistic, but how unrealistic is it? Also, is the SAC part pretty realistic? If so, then what's a good trade for Pierce that can get me a good building piece, but leave me enough $ for D12?

Are you serious? Rondo is a top PG, and Bradley is a good backup defending PG with good potential. I could understand if someone said Evans AND the 1st, but Rondo and Bradley aren't as good as an unproven lottery pick?
