And when I say you can:
-put caps onto Original legend teams you can and would have to play with them in association
-If you want to play with them in play now you have to export them
-you CANNOT put caps on original teams to play in the NBA's Greatest mode

God I hope 2K patches this. After unlocking the Legend teams we should be able to do whatever we want with them. Its almost even pointless to edit there shoes, tendencies, add players or anything because once they start releasing roster updates it will wipe this away, unless we have multiple roster files saved. They need to patch this were the user can add players to the legend teams, edit the legend teams how ever he wants, and make it were if there is a roster update, this only updates the current teams, and won't change or undo your changes to the legend teams - that is what I want to see in a patch for this.

I received the game yesterday.
I could discovered that each team has their own system, and it's very difficult to change, and even impossible to change legend team system.
I add, when you begin a legend game, you can see, Magic 22 assists in All star game so maybe 2k will download new team legend in the year, for exemple the 1991 or the 1992 all star game!!!

Because we can do anything with the legend team of this game, so 2 solutions :
the first patch will permit to use legend player as we want!!
the second solution is, 2k reserves us surprises and will give us new legend team

that's my only explanation!!

How I would I do this part...

start a custom association or custom season with the teams you want to edit. Chose those teams and then make the necessary trades, releases, etc, then what I do is I go to calendar and pick the team you want to export(when all your editing is done of course) then go to save chose export team and save.

You are a freakin' legend. I was so pissed that wasn't able to trade/release legends like last year. I have all three covers of the game as a collection and the main reason was to make alltime rosters.

Thanks to you I was able to do that. It took me two and a half hours to get all the legends I wanted on their respective teams but somehow reseted them all back to current rosters. I spent another two and a half hours again but it was all worth it.

I just hope they patch this along with any other roster/rating/slider update because I will have to do this all over again. (Too many players with 3 point icons). Thanks again for your hardwork and time and effort..

Using legends JERSEYS (W/ GENERIC COURTS) in OFFLINE ASSOCIATION w/current player(s).
*Note: Limit is 10 exported teams at a time so only 10 exported teams would be allowed in the Association*
1.Start new season mode with customize league on and with number of team(s) you plan to export.
2.Once in season export the team(s).(Important you must click the right stick on the headlines menu to what team you want to export)
3.Leave season mode.
4.Load the exported team(s)
5.Make Trade for the players you from the legends exported team with the current team(ex. Trade the Player(s) to the OKC or any other team for the player(s) you do not want on the team
6.Save roster
7.Start Offline Association with the Customize League option on
8.Exchange the team you want to exchange with your exported team

This probably sounds and looks real complicating. We shouldn't have to do all this but we do. Trust me tho this works. This is not the answer to all the problems. Hopefully 2k will patch in being able to fully customize all players.

I don't know if this was mentioned but I find it alot easier to obtain the legend's court by following these steps. Gonna use Nuggets for example since I've done it already.

1. Swap current Nuggets roster into the FA pool with low rated players.
2. Start up association and swap current Nuggets for 93' Nuggets.
3. Drop all players rating to 25 and salary $0 (gives you your money back)
4. Waive legends and sign the current Nuggets. (You won't be able to waive atleast 2 legends/generics due to waive limit)

With those easy four steps, I'm able to carryout an association using the legend's jerseys and court. I rather do 4 steps than 8 (no offense lol) Hope this helps. If need be, I'll do a quick video tut. Just PM me

I've been able to do this also (not using those steps)

Another easy way is just by controlling all teams and replacing whatever team you want into the association and release and sign players you want to whatever teams.

Or control all teams and do a fantasy draft and pick exactly who you want for every team.
