I signed up here just to post this.

You may want to get some conformations on which version people are using.Most people don't state which version they use.

Took me awhile to get the PC version downloaded from Steam.If it's a port what works on the console should work on PC.

So before I even had it , I read this post a few times to make sure I had it down before trying it.

After which, this trick does not work for the PC version.It does the exact thing that many have reported on this thread.When you release from the exported team it deletes them , does not put in FA pool.When you try to trade it says you cannot trade to a created team.

Thanks to gmcrb28 for getting this to work for some.

Are you adding players already in the FA Pool onto the exported teams?

It will only let you in association.But yes I did add them in association to have 15 players on the team.Then exported then tried to release them and it deletes them. It even deletes the players I added in association from FA pool.

When you try to add FA players outside of association mode to a legends team it says cannot add players to created team.

It's all good thanks for the help , I just started association replacing current teams with the classics that's better than nothing .

Ok, I didn't want to read through 48 pages to see if this was answered but after 11 pages I didn't find it.

So I'm trying to put legend players in the Free Agent spots, and I can't figure out how to do it. I started a new season, selected the 4 teams that my friends and I want to use. I exported them, left the season, and loaded the teams. I see those 4 exported teams in the Manage Rosters menu where they should be. But here's where I can't figure out what else to do. I don't understand the 5th step in the first post. Am I supposed to make those four new, exported teams' rosters full? I did that, but then when I go under the '93 Magic roster and try to "release" Shaq to Free Agents, the option to release him isn't there. I can't figure out how to release any of them.

Can somebody help me please?

I'm having the same problem. I can't do anything in the main menu with the exported teams. Can't move players around unless I'm in the season mode.

OP or anyone else - please let me know if this is possible.

Could I apply the same concept to my own CAP and use him in Create a Legend mode? I understand this is what MyPlayer was designed for but I would like more flexibility in creating a CAP without the restriction of points (I just want to have fun).

I tried assigning my CAP to a current day team but it didn't show up under CAL mode.

Please help. Thank you!

Make a 15 man roster for exported teams and you should be able to release 3 players

Very funny.

So the secret to trading players is go to the regular team FIRST then trade a player TO the exported team for your player.

Has anyone tried to do this on the PC version? For some reason its glitching my game up pretty badly. I'm having current players changing names (Glen Davis is now Stevie Davis) and my exported teams turning into the team next to it.

Guys MAKE sure you do this in SEASON MODE!!

It will not work through Association mode.
