Intense D and proper positioning to cut off his lane, not an easy task. Played a few games already against my friend and he was just abusing the paint with MJ. Played someone else who did the same with LeBron. Very frustrating when you know what the opposition is going to do and you feel like you played it right yet it still works.

online sucks when u have ppl easily making difficult shots inside the paint and keep making them. Once you get more wins you'll see all ppl do is attack the paint because it's easy points now. You slide right pass players with ease since you seem to not have full control of your defensive player.

If they're spanning turbo, just let the CPU guard them, switch accordingly.

I think we are all having issues with cpu offensive rebounds. Need to figure out whats the magic number for the slider.

Having a good time but stuff starts getting weird with allstar and above. Cpu fastbreak after every miss, my teammates start walking back even though cpu is in transition. Passes I thought were only possible with sig skills, every player is doing them now.

Just blew out the Heat with Bulls. Hopefully MIA is not really thinking about Bosh at 5 and battier at 4. Boozer and Rose had 30+ and Rose was 3 rebounds from a triple double.

Had the best game of my video game career earlier with Pistons vs Kings. Up by 2 with 30sec left on clock. I had drawn a foul with Stuckey and missed a freethrow. 2k cheese at its best lol, while shooting ps3/2k trophy pops up while in shooting motion. Kings got the ball back and Aaron Brooks made a full court 3(Rim to rim) to send the game in overtime. Blew them away in OT though with Monroe at 4 and Drummund at 5.

Great game so far, just need to work on cpu off rebounds and PIP.

Finally got the hang of the controls! it took me going through training camp and about two hours playing a scrimmage game but it got it!

Controls are sick this year. So much freedom. I'm using default controls with everything absolute...

                Impressions after more play today:

-The control stick, though it takes some getting used to and still leads to some confusion at times, is definitely capable of pulling off some slick moves. Def had some OMG moments w/ Parker and Ginobili today.

-The game is definitely an upgrade from 2K12, maybe with a patch it'll reach the heights that 2K11 was at.

-YES! It is possible to play good solid D and stay in front of your man w/o being magically slid away or controls not responding to what you want to do. This killed me in 2K12.

-Rebounding just plain sucks right now, to put it nicely. It's an eyesore TBH. I don't know if it's due to the ball coming off of the rim too high or what, but there's absolutely no boxing out whatsoever, guys just let loose balls bounce to the other team without even trying to get them, etc. Hopefully this will be a major thing fixed in the patch.

-Inside game and passes seem too easy. Not enough contact in the paint and too many interior passes not being batted away like they should. I feel like again, 2K11 had this near perfect, if a bit too much, 2K12 laxed it abit, and 2K13 laxes it abit more. 2K usually fixes this in a patch.

All in all I'm impressed. As someone that was sour on the control stick after the demo I've gotten used to it and have no plans of going to the alternate control method thus far. Just hope 2K fixes these issues. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game but fixing the things I mentioned would put it into 2K11 territory.

First match I played a game against the computer to get the hang of things. 00-01 sixers (me) vs the current trailblazers. The game was very close all along, and went into overtime. I ended up being down 2 in OT. With about 5 seconds left, i inbound the ball (no timeouts) and shoot a 3 with Iverson.................SPLAAAAASSSSSSHHHH

yup, buzzer beater on my first game ever, got the achievement

BOLD is the truth. To easy top iso into the paint and defenders dont really block or challenge the shots

Attacking is definitely cheesy, not quite 2k7 when you could just run into the paint with a wing and dunk over someone but its not very good or where it should be.

                        Re: NBA 2k13 Impressions Thread

Wow! I am majorly impressed with this game. It is everything we loved about 2k11-12 with another year of refinement, minus all of the funny business that we hated. No more 3rd qtr cheese, no more warping defense, no more forcefield bumping, and on and on. Because of that, I was able to win my first game on pro-sim without much difficulty. An unheard of feat for me.

I really like the presentation elements as well. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I'm digging it. I like the cohesive theme running throughout the game, rather than the generic feel of the past games.

Control wise, I immediately switched to shot stick default with modifier for the dribble moves. I like that better as I am already used to using LT from the old isomotion controls.

I am just in awe of this game. Great, great, stuff!

Yea it's very frustrating, he barely even plays 2k and I just feel I shouldn't take a loss to him at all especially when the same move is done

For those who say it is too easy to iso into the paint - I feel like when I watch NBA games, anyone with good dribbling skills can get into the paint. Maybe that is just me, idk.
