In one of my games last night with Rick I got somewhere around 7 offensive rebounds in a row, so... yeah. Im also seeing that its difficult to cause any real contact on up and under moves. Stationary player gets moved out of the way. I will say though that D on the whole is damn good. Im feeling good about the game because it looks like the issues we see dont look to be more than minor fixes. Hopefully..

Re: NBA 2k13 Impressions Thread
Almost forgot. Im also seeing players not reacting to the ball or have very slow delayed reactions to it. Mostly in rebounding situations where the ball touches the floor or loose. ball situations. I've also seen player boxing out but not recognizing that the ball is near to them or just standing as it goes over their heads.Comment

Re: NBA 2k13 Impressions Thread
the one thing i really hate is that you can't pass out of contact layups AT ALL. once your player gets sucked into a contact layup, he's forced to put up the shot no matter how much you try to pass it out. this is one area that actually got worse from previous 2k's. i don't know if they left this ability out of the game because they didn't have time to make look smooth, or if they just didn't think it was necessary to include...in the real NBA, great passers pass out of contact all the time - they absorb contact and then dish the ball off. but in 2k13, this is impossible because the contact layups are unbreakable. with a good passer you should be able to make a fairly accurate pass out of a contact layup.Last edited by blues rocker; 10-03-2012, 09:18 AM.Comment

yeah, i thought i felt that too...i thought i was just imagining it, but after seeing you bring it up, maybe it's a real issue. overall, i feel like there is more lag to the controls compared to the demo.Last edited by blues rocker; 10-03-2012, 09:18 AM.Comment

But yeah, it depends on who you're trying to do it with as well also. I think you can do it so long as your player has more strength than the guy guarding him (Think of Lebron bullying someone like Durant), otherwise you'll just continue to try to put the shot up.
I probably need to test this for myself once I get out of my classes in 2 hours.Comment

no, not when the camera spins...the control just feels generally a bit more delayed on the 2k cam...but it could just be my imagination.Comment

Re: NBA 2k13 Impressions Thread
My only concern right now is autosave. I'm strictly an offline player with no xbox gold. There is no way to reset your VIP stats. This is important since I usually mess around the first couple games, and I only like to keep track of my sim type games...
Edit: I found a way to permanently delete all your data...you have to log in nba2k.com and delete your account from there. II'm assuming it will, just waiting on the 24 hour period update for it.Last edited by triangleoffense; 10-03-2012, 09:35 AM."I believe in the power of people coming together to solve problems. Re: NBA 2k13 Impressions Thread
I think you need to time it correctly blue. You need to dish the pass of BEFORE contact is made (You'll still initate contact with the defender). I've had success passing out of layups to the big man when the help defense steps up. You do a nice little wrap around pass 90% of the time.

EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

Either way, I'm going to test this out in scrimmage once I get home.Comment

Re: NBA 2k13 Impressions Thread
usually when i penetrate with my PG, i'll try to lay it up and take contact from a big man...then during the contact i'll want to dish it off to my open teammate or whatever...but i just can't pass out of the contact layup...the game just forces you to put up the contact shot. like i said, players dish out of contact like this all the time in the NBA, so i'm not sure why they completely left it out of the game.
maybe i'm wrong, but i've tried mashing the pass button pretty early in the contact and i get nothing - he just continues to put up the shot.Last edited by blues rocker; 10-03-2012, 09:34 AM.Comment
