just played a 10 min game on pro/sim, i was the pistons and i faced the bulls. bulls won 93-86.
game was overall, very pleasing to me. granted, i did not play 2k12 but I noticed a lot of things that seemed to make the game feel more complete as a total basketball sim experience.
the fouls are spot on (like mentioned). contact in the paint is extremely realistic with animations. had one play where monroe threw up a ball at the basket got hit with some hips and went down hard (you heard it) and he was slow and gingerly getting up (i was anxious thinking he might have to get taken out of the game). i noticed over-the-back calls with extremely fresh animations of players hitting the deck after a player climbs over the back.
player positioning is everything in the game and defense is fun to play. i like to mix it up and play with different players on different possesions. my favorite being to guard a player like rip hamiltion who is running through screens constantly or to have a good down low battle for position (monroe/noah).
the commentary was much improved from 2k11 (cant compare to 2k12 like i mentioned) and little nuggets of information about certain players was neat and can help gain knowledge overall about players.
overall, very impressed.Comment

anyone notice how the cpu does not run plays? played an exhibition game and cranked the cpu team's 'run plays' slider to 100 and i didn't see one play ran.Comment

So yah the Bobcats are really,really bad. Good sim.
No idea who Jesse Williams,Mac Miller,Vinny Gaudginino and Meek Mill are.
Why can't I play with Jay-Z and Diddy? Where's Micheal Rappaport?
Some player faces look terrible. Kevin Love looks like a Japanese anime character and I don't know what's going on with Chase Budinger.Comment

I am becoming increasingly annoyed with the amount of 2K13 that seems to be tied to online servers. I find this to be a great drawback at this point. All the auto-saving and sending of information to and from the servers, even for offline exploits, seems to be just asking for crashes, freezes, and deletion of data.
I suppose we'll have to wait for the dust to settle, but I've heard the suggestion that users are not able to save backup files in some modes. Hopefully this does not end up being true. If so, again, it feels like we'll forever be just be one online error away from losing everything we've worked for up to any given point.Comment

have no idea how to get defensive stops. CPU is in god mode pretty much throughout and when they do miss, they get the off rebound.
they are shooting around 70% most games though. my CPU teammates just let their guy blow by them. lmao. it's ridiculousComment

Can you play other games in Association Mode rather then just your team that you are using? For example if Im the Celtics and I want to play the Lakers vs Clippers game can I play that or do I have to pick every team in order to do that. i remember 2k11 you were able to pick which games you would want to play even if your team was eliminated in the playoffs you can still play the rest of the playoffs with the remaining teams...last years 2k12 Association Mode was wack. I only were able to play celtics games rather then other teams if i wanted to. And when i got eliminated from playoffs it would just simulate the rest of the playoffs...just kinda takes the excitement out of the playoffs...Comment

What kind of sliders is My Team on? I played an exhibition against the CPU and the I shot 55% from 3 while the CPU shot 61%.Comment
