I was out for a long weekend, not sure I can catch up on all the posts here, but it seems like there is talk of bots in the Rivals games. I can assure you there are ZERO bots in Rivals. There is no need for it. It's a community based game mode that allows everyone to compete against each other (regardless of deck strength too), so there is no need for bots. The conspiracy theorists will of course insist I am lying, something I have never done to you guys ever. There just is no need for bots, you guys create WAY more competition than we ever could with bots in the Rivals Event. For this event we simply had more people playing than ever before. A fraction of those people even know about these forums. Including avid players that ended up at the top of the leaderboard this week.


The only problem we're really seeing with the event were the network problems near the end. It was "fair" in that everyone was encountering the same problems at least, but completely agree that it was not a fun experience for those last few hours. We are increasing our server capacity for the next event which should alleviate the issues.


Ok lots to catch up on. I am hoping to post a bigger update later this week on our plans for our next Update and what we're doing for Seasons in the future. I'll be back.

hey nwgamedad i appreciate ur concern of posting in this forum . i read the last few pages and notice people asking this question that is left unanswer by you. i dont know if you read the post or miss it ,but anyway i wanna know the answer to that question too so here is the question , when 2k15 come out do all of our cards in the game we get to keep or all of them are be gonna be gone and

I tried to put a LU out there that might help fend off my competition a bit and help me. Next time I'm rocking all three MJ's. I will say I did switch up and put my Rondo pro back in on Sunday because I was seeing a lot of Ball Control/MG teams with the higher of the two Magic Johnson Cards and Oscar Robertson's. Wasn't enough though and you got the last laugh finishing higher than me. lol

Anyone in the top 50 that didnt buy HS? Im wondering how many hours you guys put in a day to grind... I wanted to get that top 50 spot but as the weekend came near, I got busy and had to grind to try to get back in 125...

I came in 38 and didn't buy and hotstreaks. I did about 6-7 hours a day during the week, which was basically all my free time including bus rides and lunch breaks. Then about 11 hours on Saturday and another 6-7 on Sunday.

I was in the top 25 during the Spurs rivals without buying any hotstreaks either following the same basic pattern except having to do a bit more on Saturday and Sunday during that one.

So it's very possible, you just have to dedicate yourself to not having any semblance of a life outside of this game for a few days.

Yea I remember that, it felt like I was driving a bus vs your Porsche lol. I remember passing you with like 40 mins to go. I told you to stay attentive because he was still behind us. It's our fault, me, you, and Sagg, didn't " shut the gate" when we had the chance.

Jakus was the dude that mqde all of us nervous lol and I hope HOLMES is okay cause I noticed he was top 50 all event then he just stopped playing with like 8 hours lefted and people started to pass him and he finish 55th

Yea, I was okay, I was just way too busy to play. I knew I didn't have enough time to maintain that top 50 spot so I decided to settle for top 125 at the end.

I'm kinda disappointed about my result though because last event I finished 2nd and this time around I finished 55th which to me feels like a pretty significant drop. I just got burnt out way too quickly at the start of the event and just couldn't recover.

I was in the top 50 the whole time but I used hot streaks on Sunday just so I could stay there because I worked all week to get there and I wasnt going to lose it so I'm guilty but didn't use any until last day

Pretend that number 26 thought the same as you and was right with you. What then? Like I said on a personal level you are correct. You are arguing about something fundamentally different though.

Funny, I was exactly in that situation lol. Didn't play much at all on Fri night and Sat afternoon. By Sun, I had dropped all the way down to the 28th spot. Every player(I wish I could remember a single name right now) either 3-4 ranks above or below me, were only anywhere between 20-150pts from each other. We're all aware of how huge the rewards difference is from rank 25 to 26, so I started zombieing the kcuf out for that 25 spot. It was literally like race horses neck and neck with everybody playing musical chairs with their positions. It went on for hours up until the last 10-15 minutes of the event. Throughout that whole time though, network issues would reoccur from time to time. Each time with varying severities. Towards the last half hour, some of the players around me started slowing down a bit. Enough to get me into the 22 spot. I don't know whether or not I could attribute that to them possibly losing some games, simply giving up, or being slowed down so badly by the server issues, that they were pretty much running on quick sand. That being said, I'm not sure if the convo you guys are having will lead to anything concrete.

6-7 hours a day?? No way. It takes 2 hours playing really fast just to get 1000 points. 6-7 hours is about 3500 points a day. So, from Tuesday from Friday, you only get 14,000, then you played 11 hours on Saturday which is about 5,500.
So that's only 19,000 total from Tuesday to Saturday. Now, lets say you played 11 hours again on Sunday, that's an extra 5,500 points, which puts you at about 25,000 points total for the event. Sagg placed to spots below me at number 50, he had over 27,000 points and barely made it in. You had to grind at least 8-9 hours a day, then about 11 hours on weekends just to barely make top 50.
To add more, you didn't hot streak right?? Which means you lost a lot of sleep, and put many hours into this.

Wait, you were spot 51?? I'm Rahhmeir, I remember passing you at 50. I was only up by 3 points with like 2 hours left. Me, Ajeezy, and Sagg were were slowly stopping. Then Sagg kept telling me to push. Of you look a few pages back, I was really about to give you the 50 spot, you were being a pain. Sagg talked me out of losing lol. I'm sorry bro, we were watching you for like 4 hours on the leader boards thinking you were sleep. I think you bumped someone to 51 spot, I was 48 and Sagg was 50 spot.

I was asleep, I set the alarm on the wrong day!!! (Sleep deprived cause of this game lol). I woke up at #53. And I played normally. I think you were 51 and ajeezy at 52 for like 2 hours that I was playing. I kept pace but I guess that was the reason I got to 50 when you slowed down. Both of you were a pain haha! But the moment I got to 50 I decided to just hot streak to avoid problems near the end. I finished 31.

Probably just going to be some minuscule amount of VC given out as in-game rewards when the real focus of the next update should be on improved matchmaking.

Well, I assume you mean maxirc and justin here. The justin here is lower case and I think all the bots were capitalized. Maxirc doesn't sound like a bot name either. Also I can't tell but are those normal rares or pros? For reference my in game name is Anchen and I have a brook Lopez and nets as my team because that is my rooting interest. Sometimes casual wins out.

I can back up his argument. We were both going at it for days without hot streaking, I would say, most of us got streaked on the last day just to stay put. It would be stupid to play all week, all day long, then let some guy drop you out of top 50 because he was slacking and started hot streaking.

I find it dumbfounding how you are 0-14 with this roster.

U and Me both lol. Scottie just got added, but i had a nice lil squad before as you can see but i always get matched with that one guy whose stats are in the 4000s, it never fails.

That's a pretty good LU. I would play your Duncan Legend at PF so you don't lose so much energy on him, and find a way to get a nice back up center. You have a good enough LU now along with better support cards than I have to win a season. You might try buying a few more epic packs and see what you get once you start a season. Also make sure your card deck has as few as cards as possible since season matchmaking takes that into account.

Good catch on that duncan! And do you guys hold onto all your pro rares and single epics? Because thats all i ever keep in my deck. About 52 cards
