If you think about it from a real world perspective, the pack is a product normally carries monetary value. If a business says they will give you something of monetary value for free, could they legally take it back after you acquire the product?

      *This is slightly off topic*

I find it quite difficult to consider CD's packs as "products" (conceptually), though I don't know where it stands legally.

To me, the game is a service, and when I pay, I pay for a chance to use certain cards within this service framework.

Once the service goes offline (EOL), I no longer have my packs, right? I paid to rent them.

**Obviously, this is just my personal viewpoint, I have no ideas about the legalities involved.

        2. CD can just delete the All star cards off of peoples teams and keep everything else they got.

        3. Its not a "purchase" if no credits were spent.

What about pros. I held on to the singles for 2 days but since nothing was said or done by CD I went ahead and proed them. I had to use six WCs to pro 5 AS cards. Do I get my WCs back?

Also, what happens to the ones in season?

That's the million dollar questions. Maybe they will refund WC's, but I kinda doubt that. And for seasons, no idea. Maybe your season will play itself out then when its over the cards will be gone, or maybe it'll stop your season, who knows.

Prediction: CD takes down servers for 5 days to drain out seasons. Remove all free cards obtained. Deal with those who spent money to by credits for star contracts. Refund WC used. Give everyone a free pack and 300 in game credits. They can't make a new tier. Playoffs are 2 months away.

Either way they are screwed. But probably less screwed by taking away free cards. But that's more time consuming.

Cat Daddy clearly made a mistake marking cards at 100% off. That was obviously not the intention, people who took advantage knew full well what they were doing was wrong. And if it was roll backed, how can these same people then get mad at Cat Daddy for taking away their WCs and contracts?

If the bank accidentally put a million dollars in your account, that doesn't make it right for you to spend it, and there are consequences when you do. So then why do people here feel entitled when they were able to benefit from a clearly obvious error on CD's part.

I bet they sit it out.. it's 3 days now! And not even an reaction from CD or someone else who's in charge. They could at least give us an information like "We're working on the probem" or "We don't give a sh.. , deal with it " . It's really a shame how they threat their own community..

Comparing apples to oranges. If you have free money they can take it away. If you spend money on something you got for free it's different

Well said. However I would say it wasn't that "clear" it was a mistake. I for real thought it was a flash sale due to the all star game coming up the next day. But then after so many packs it was like ok...this feels wrong haha.

What if you bank announced that everyone gets money for free just like CD did? I bet you would sue them afterwards if they took it away dont you?
It clearly said 100% sale, whether its a mistake or not. Its not my fault they ****ed up although i was pretty sure they would take the cards away anyways.
Just opened them for the thrill of packopening ( yes im addicted to extra packs too). It was neither a bug nor a glitch. They just made a mistake and they have to deal with it.
I just dont get why people want others to be banned for it.
Jealousy you guys missed out?! Dont worry, you didnt miss a thing cause this cant stay and wont but i admit: It was fun to see CD getting the D after all they did to events, especially rttc.

I agree that after how much we've been screwed by this game it's good to see some people get one up on them. I myself didn't get any packs from the 100% sale but I did purchase some from the 50% sale. If they do a rollback I wouldn't be too happy about that. In fact I would be pissed because I actually got a dupe from opening 3 packs and was able to pro it. Good Luck to CD on fixing this mess because after my current season is done I don't see any reason to start a new one.

I don't think a bank is a good example. If you have money in there that you know isn't yours, you are on the hook if you withdraw it.

It is more like a store with a giveaway. The store gives you something free as a promotion. Later that day when the manager shows up and says that there was no promotion, they can't make you give back the merchandise.

Unfortunately I think with it now being about 3 full days since the incident that CD will put out an apology and not do much else. I think that a complete rollback with so many days after the fact would turn just as many, if not more, people away because of losing resets, RP gained, season rewards, etc.

And I doubt that they can isolate which cards were free to delete them. Even if they can, they would then have to restore the cards used to train them, WCs, contracts, etc. They won't usually even restore a card you accidentally trained away, I doubt they are going to go through all of this for thousands of accounts.

I just don't think from a practical standpoint there is much they can do now with so much time passing.

Ok using your scenario, let's say a Walmart employee gives you something. Hey this is free take it. Then a manager comes and says you can't have it, that actually is legal. Maybe the employee was giving out something he wasn't supposed to in our world the "glitch".

I am talking about if you have already left the store and it was marked as a sale or promotion.

Obviously if the manager stops you in the store and informs you that is different. If the item was marked as a sale/promotion for free and you took it and 3 days later they come to you, you wouldn't have to give it back because of their mistake.

Plus, it wouldn't be a crime because there would be no specific intent to defraud. It was done in good faith
