I have had assistants get hired in the past. Alot has to do with the rankings and especially their desire to get a HC job themselves. Do you still have the C- rated guys when you first started up or have you upgraded and hired guy's since then?

I currently have 2 former HC's as my assistants Grambling's and Sacramento State's HC's. I am in Year 5 having spent my first 4 years at UC Davis I was offered Gonzaga. I assume that once I spend a couple years here and do well, these guy's resumes will be impacted and they will move on.

Yeah, I've had a few assistants leave and go take head coaching jobs in my ~20-year legacy. It depends on their ratings, their ambition, etc.

Not sure what they're rated now, but they are the guys I started with. I just figured they'd have ratings high enough for some looks at least but they haven't even shown on teams lists.

I could be wrong, but they only leave in closed legacy right? I've played 24 seasons so far in my open legacy, and I still have my guys. They're 54-55 so still young enough. I'm going to fire them so they can get good jobs, and to get younger assistants.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Started a new closed legacy today with Coppin State. Decided to sim the first few years except for NCAA tournament games. First two years were pretty uneventful as I went 13-17 and 14-18. Year 3 however is going great.

I finished the regular season at 17-10. Made it to the Conference Tournament Championship against Delaware State who was 30-4. Managed to upset them by 8 thanks to a 32 point effort by Junior Shooting Guard Patrick Cole. That got me into the tournament as a 14 seed (Delaware State got a 4 seed).

First game was against Alabama. The whole game was close and Alabama was up by 1 with about 6 seconds left. Patrick Cole got fouled with 3.2 seconds left though and drained both free throws. Alabama didn't even get a shot off and we won. Cole had 42 points and shot 45% from the field.

Game 2 was against 6 seed Arizona State. Another really close game. Arizona State was up 5 at half, but we ended up winning 86-84. Cole had 24 points while shooting 66% from the field.

Off to the Sweet 16 we went as the 14 seed to face 7 seed CS Northridge. We were up 1 at half and managed to pull away a little in the second half to win by 10, 98-88. Cole had a monster game though, scoring 54 points while also having 7 assists. He shot 49% from the field.

Next up is 1 seed Kansas in the Elite Eight. I really like this matchup and I see no reason why we can't win this game. Cole has to play big though. Should be a good one.

Right now, Patrick Cole is leading the nation in PPG with 26.6 and he has 1907 career points.

I just finished the greatest game in Prairie View history...

Its year 1 and we're at Tennessee. They shoot bad the first half and we go up by six at halftime. We can't hold the lead and they tie it with thirty seconds left. They get the ball with ten seconds and Barton fires a three, the crowd roaring.

                  It clanks!

We get the ball with five seconds. We fire a halfcourt three that almost goes in but clanks! Overtime!

In overtime we get six rebounds and play lights out to win by five.

I don't know what it is about Virginia Tech, but I was on the verge of getting fired by them as well. I was there 3 years, first year was actually ok, but the last 2 were single-digit win seasons. I'm sure if I didn't leave, the next season would have been bad and I would have been gone.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Hey guys! Back again! I ditched my NC A&T/Duke/whoever else I was legacy. It just felt like the time....I've got two championship exportation a from at legacy....it was really fun....but time to start anew!!!

I started up with Western Illinois now....default unnamed rosters. I decided to go back to my Paul Westhead phase....uptempo, all the coach profile things at 100, watching all my games on MOP and sliders all at 50. I'm absolutely looking for the craziest scores possible! my playbook is set to "all plays" and I had a weird idea for defense. I wanted to sort of bring the uptempo feel of hockey onto the hardwood. I'm running a 1-2-2 defense and a 3-2. Recruiting still by size and shooting.

Our most points scored in a game came in a huge double OT win over Southern Utah, 151-150...... I'm content that we will break the 1990 LMU points per game record, lol. We're above .500, but I don't know the record off the top of my head. Rest assured, I'm not undefeated. At one point we played @ #9 UCLA. We started on a 16-0 run, but we ended up losing by at least 20.....

More updates to come....I will try.
James Naismith visited an Indiana basketball state finals game along with 15,000 screaming fans and later wrote, that while it was invented in Massachusetts, "basketball really had its origin in Indiana, which remains the center of the sport."

Long time between updates, but after I left for George Mason, things have been interesting.

My first season, I went 17-14. I lost in the 2nd round of the CAA tourney to Old Dominion, who, won it all. They've been absolutely dominate.

I then started the next season 7-2, before hitting this slide, losing to my former team, Texas State, and then embarrassingly losing to the Liberty Flames, who, at the time, were 2-9, on a half court buzzer beater.

Currently, we are 10-6, led by our World Recruit, 7'1 Center Harry N'Doye. He is an absolute animal...

In crazy game news, Northeastern, who is 15-1 right now, beat Hofstra, who was ranked 22 in the nation, 125-124 in 3OT. Northeastern made this run at the end of the season, going to the CAA Semi-Final and losing, but have been destroying teams ever since. They're the favorite right now in the CAA, and are on a roll.

After being killed by A&M in the SWAC tourney, my Panthers have a chance for revenge. We finished third in the SWAC and face JSU in round two of the tournament. If we beat them, we face Alabama A&M in the final with a chance to make the NCAA tournament.

Finally starting to hit the sweetspot in my EIU legacy. Sitting at 3-11, I was almost discouraged a bit to play the games. We've caught fire winning 5 of my last 6 games. (Now 8-12)

Our most recent game was against Morehead State. Down 53-29 at the half, I thought about simming to the end and calling it a game, but decided to continue. I took a page out of dxdude's book and ran the LMU-style balls to the wall speed offense. We ended up scoring 62 in the second half and miraculously held the Eagles to 38 in the half to tie the game up and send it to OT.

Freshman SG Alex Austin was ice-cold in the first half scoring only 3 points, before going absolutely nuts. Finishing with 34 points on 10-19 from deep, he was the reason we came back. On the very first play of OT he fouled out leaving us extremely short handed (We only have 8 guys to begin with). Morris Woods fouled out as well.

We ended up pulling it out 101-99 in OT. Good thing I didn't sim 'til the end!
