Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I am doing a closed legacy with Western Illinois. I finished my 5th season with the team and went 26-5, finishing second in the Summit League, but winning the conference tourney to get a 14 seed in the big dance. I lost a heart breaker in the opening round to Arkansas. I was so mad, because I felt that this was a team that could make a big run. With 3 of my seniors graduating, I decided it was finally time to leave WIU behind. I was offered a job a Nevada that had 3 players with an overall 80 rating, but I felt that may have been too easy of a gig. Instead, I chose the 7-23 Southern Illinois Salukis in the Missouri Valley Conference. They are pretty horrible. Actually, 2 of my recruits will start right away as freshman at 74 and 68 overall. The MVC has been very competitive over the last couple years, and I'm excited to join the fray.KaBoom

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Finished my 3rd season at Detroit with a 23-5 record, 16-2 in Horizon League. Had the 1 seed in the conf. tourney and was flat out dominated by the worst team in the field in my first game. I was hoping I had a strong enough resume to make the NCAA's, but was relegated to the NIT.
First round at Albany, we easily dispatched the Danes by 49 (they shot just 26%). Second round at a solid Rhode Island, we had a 4 point lead at the half but it was all Rams in the second half. Tried everything I could to keep it close but no luck.
Started year 4 with a 5-0 record including an OT win at #23 Washington, but lost our last game on the road against a tough Rider club. Brought in the #30 (I think) recruiting class and a transfer from UCF that should give us one solid year next season. Hope this is the year we can break into the Dance!Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
After an awesome 13-2 non-conference record, my team did what any regular team does. They lose the conference opener 105-80 on their own court to an inferior team. I have a feeling this might be a long conference season if that's what my team is going to play like.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Trying to 3-peat with Duke in my 5th year there after 6 at Baylor winning one title with my Alma Mater. Thinking about getting caught up in a scandal and banishing myself to the SWAC. Might try to take over TSU. I wanna build a small school now. This is such a great game. I can do pretty much whatever I want.
I'm currently 5-3 with losses to Richmond, Penn St (ACC Big 10 Challenge), and 15 minutes ago Auburn. I can't win on the road. Currently starting a freshman guard, senior shooting guard (best player 17.2 ppg), sophomore forward, senior power forward, and freshman center.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
So I'm on to the next season, following my Elite 8 run at Kent State. I lost my starting SG, PF, and Center. My lineup features the transfer from Texas, JR Negsu (PG) and the 7 Foot Center Neil Krauser. Here's my lineup:
PG JR JR Nengsu 88 ovr, Lottery buzz, 18.5 ppg
SG SR Romeo Rice 73 over 9 ppg
SF SO Jerod Beatty 73 ovr
PF SO Lew Camper 74 over
C Neil Krauser 77 over 16.6 ppg
SF FR Shaun Miles 75 Over
SG D. Graham 74 over
In non conference play I go 9-7 with my hardest non-conference schedule yet. I had wins over WVU, Baylor, Washington. Losses to Kansas, Xavier, TCU, Marquette, Clemson, Maryland. Some wins against scrubs thrown in between. I'm currently 4-1 in conference after losing on the road to my nemesis NIU.
Negsu is projected to be a Lottery pick, but I hope he stays.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Started a closed legacy with the SD St Jacks. I added a SF to give me at least one decent player (not great). So far I am 2-2 w/ upsets over WKU and Murray St, losing to KY and Louisville. I love to run, but until I get the players I'm running a bleed the clock Princeton style w/a 1-3-1 matchup using my SF up top to slow down PG's. KY and UL lit me up, but it slowed the other two.
K-State and kansas around the corner, looking to get my RPI up before I get into conference.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Started a closed legacy with north florida. got dominated in non-conference, started 1-9! Now I've hit conference play and currently 5-1. Looks like all the beatdowns in the non-conference were worth it. Just for fun, I checked N. Florida's record for 07-08 and they were 3-26 (1-15) so at least I surpassed that mark lol. I love this game. Current record: 6-10 (5-1 in atlantic sun play)Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Texas State
2007-08: 17-13, lost in first round. Struggled through my season, but PG Brandon Rush carried us through the conference tournament before we got steamrolled by #1 seed and eventual NC Duke in the first round of the NCAA's.
2008-09: 26-5, lost in Sweet 16. Landed a 5* JUCO C in the off-season, 7'1 260 lb Tyler Cain. IIRC he averaged around 25 pts/12 rebs per game, and he carried us to the Sweet 16 where we got demolished by #1 seed Villanova by 40.
Mark Few took a job at Maryland which meant that the Gonzaga job came open, and they tabbed me for it.
Gonzaga
2009-10: 32-3, Final Four. Had a stacked roster led by SF Austin Daye. We had a great season, and Daye carried us through the NCAA's. He averaged 28 points per game, including 32 of our 54 in our Final Four loss to 2x defending NC Duke.
2010-11: 32-1, Sweet 16. The most awesome yet disappointing season of my entire career. We were stacked, returning all 5 starters and adding in the nation's #1 PG with ridiculous quicks and handles. Went undefeated up until the NCAA's, where #4 seed Kansas downed us 82-77 behind superior 3 point shooting. The worst loss of my career by far. This was a NC caliber team.
2011-12: 25-9, First round. Had to completely rebuild, but I had the nation's #3 recruiting class coming in so things weren't too bad. With a lot of freshman came growing pains, but through sheer talent alone we won the conference regular season and tournament titles. Made it to the tourney as a #12 seed, and lost in the 1st round to #5 seed Miami by 10.
Jim Calhoun retired at this point, leaving the UCONN job vacant, and they chose me to take his place...
Connecticut
2012-13: 23-10, lost in the second round. Had no backcourt whatsoever, so this was a tough season to grind out.
2013-14: 34-4, National Champions. Brought in 3 5* G's, all of which made major contributions right off the bat. Had a dominant frontcourt coming back and beat fellow Big East school Louisville in the NCAA title game.
2014-15: 33-5, Elite Eight. Had some remnants of the dominant front court left, and had a great season as my backcourt played outstanding.
2015-16: 38-2, National Champions. Just an overall dominant team. First one consisting of all my guys, and they were just unreal. Great backcourt, great frontcourt, on a whole 'nother level than most teams. Won the NC 108-66 over Washington State.
2016-17: 39-1, National Champions. Even better than last year's squad, and that's saying something. I'm pretty sure the lone game we lost was the only time we didn't win by double digits all year. This is the best team I've fielded to date in any basketball game.
2017-18: 26-9, Sweet 16. A rebuilding year for us with a couple of 4 year starters leaving the squad, but we still made a nice run in the NCAA's thanks to our dominating PF whose name escapes me.
2018-19: 29-8, Final Four. We had a SF named Connor (last name was something Jewish I think) who was just incredible. Won all of the major NPOTY honors and carried us to the Final Four on his back. We got beat by a better team in that game though, because we didn't have much offense outside of Connor.
At this point, Thad Matta finally got fired and I took over an Ohio State team coming off a 3-27 season and one that hadn't made the tourney in almost 8 years.
Ohio State
2019-20: 17-14, missed NCAA's. With how poor of a roster I had, I was forced to lean on my lone good player, my C. Pretty sure he won conference POTY for his efforts.
2020-21: 25-11, second round. I pulled in a pretty decent recruiting class that made an immediate impact, taking this team back to the tourney for the first time in a decade.
2021-22: 29-8 Elite Eight. I landed a stud 5* SF and 5* SG who both came in and started immediately. They both made immediate impacts, and I had a great team, but unfortunately we got beat by Florida 68-62 in the elite Eight when we just couldn't keep up with them from behind the arc.
2022-23: 35-4, National Champions. Everything came together this year. With an entire lineup full of former 5*'s, we had a great year, capped off with a 20 point win in the national championship game.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
It's amazing how fast time flies-fired this game up for the first time in two years and continued my Michigan Legacy. Still in Year 1, and using rosters I got from here a couple of years ago for the 2009-2010 season. Custom playbooks for the CPU make one hell of a difference-had to comeback against Harvard for a 47-41 victory. I'd play another game if I wasn't so damn tired already!
Also, not really related to the videogame at this point but noticed I was guarding a kid on the Crimson named 'Lin' during the game, and it just hit me that's the same guy lighting it up of late for the Knicks now. Glad these rosters are pretty accurate.
#4 Michigan - 51
#6 Michigan State - 50
PG Laval Lucas-Perry only scored 2 points all game, but they were crucial as his long jumper came with 6.7 seconds left to give the Wolverines a 1 point lead. MSU's Kalin Lucas last second attempt at a game winner was blocked by Dion Sims, and Michigan holds on to win the Big Ten Championship.
It still amazes me how this game just seems to get momentum right. This game was back and forth with neither team able to pull ahead more than 7 points, and a couple of my "go to" players were absolutely ice cold-forced me to find others to depend on. Same thing happened for MSU: Durrell Summers came off the bench for them in the first half and simply couldn't miss. The CPU played the hot hand until halftime and forced me to tighten up the pressure on him. He didn't do much in the second half, but then the CPU would just go to either Raymar or Kalin instead. Really close game, and a lot of fun.
Finished watching the Selection Sunday special (may be old hat to some of you, but this is the first I'd seen of it and I'm amazed-this game is really 4+ years old?), and grabbed the #1 seed in the South Regional (#2 overall).Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Glad to join the conversation. I decided to roll with the 07-08 rosters. I am currently playing with Texas State in my career legacy mode. I currently as 2-5 with back to back loss over ranked opponents Texas and Texas A&M Its still alot of season left, along with conference play, So I am not too worried about the record. As far as recruiting, I have a 3 start guy who really want to come here, (6'6 194 PF) he is a bit small to be playing there, Considering I have a 6'7 185 SG (Jr.) playing for us.
He has been one of the only bright spots on the team. Are only double digit avg. scorer with 21.7 points per game. I also have two solid point guards but they both have a couple problems. The one is a playmaker, (Jr.) but not a scorer. He solid averaging 7.0 points, 5.0 Assist. My other is a scorer. The issue with him, is he is a bit under sized only being 5'11. He is a scorer though, but not much of a playmaker. (Fr.) 6.0 points per game and 2.0 assist off the bench. He has much upside though, only being a freshman.
We finally come back home for only are 2nd home game of the year vs Kennesaw St. (4-3) This should be a pretty good game! We have to get better as a team though, Only a few more weeks until we open up for conference play...
Wish me luck!Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
4-2 in my Southern Illinois legacy. I'm still trying to get a feel for my new team. My SG and SF are my best players. We can't shoot the 3 and we don't have a lot of size, but my SG is an absolute beast when it comes to scoring inside. I'm hitting every difficult layup possible with this guy. I'm recruiting shooters and 3 big men, so hopefully next year I'll be able to install my offense, but right now, its kind of fun just winging it.KaBoom
